I will never go back to Decatur dental. I have been treated very poorly. I went in after having my teeth filled every other year for 7 years. To be told I need dentures which I knew was likely after 3 pregnancies and having hg I just knew. It’s going on 2 months since being the plan.

They told me two weeks to hear back from insurance, took a month. When I’d call and check they were extremely rude, acted like I was stupid. They gave me a quoted price of 2000$ out of pocket. But when I called they told me $6000. So I wanted info about payment plans because it needs done right? Well who ever I left a message with never called back ive called 5 days in a row for her to be out of office and today when I finally got to talk to her, she was completely rude saying she didn’t have any of my paperwork, didn’t know what I needed done.

The communication this company has is terrible! They don’t care about there patients. I’m not sure if it’s the Dentist at fault but his staff! They haven’t taken my Medicaid insurance off that I haven’t had for 2 years and are trying to charge Medicaid, after telling them NO more then 6 times in 2 months. I don’t recommend at all.

I was excited when a friend referred me to Decatur Dental. I’m getting married next summer and my fiancé and I agreed one thing we wanted to spend money on was my smile. I called the office and a lady named Julie answered and told me to hold because she didn’t do the scheduling. After being on hold for 15 minutes I gave all my information and was transferred back to Julie to be scheduled.

After giving my insurance information (HIP) I was told they didn’t take my insurance. I said that wasn’t a problem but could they provide me with information on CASH patients. She passively aggressively informed me that dental care can be quite expensive. I stated that this is why I was requesting more information, due to the fact that my fiancé and I were working on budgeting my dental work.

She then asked me for the second time if I was experiencing any issues with my teeth, considering I had already explained this to her I felt it was no longer necessary to carry on a conversation and waste anymore of my time they were very rude and very unprofessional and unorganized. I hope the dentists that they work for our aware of how they are dealing with their potential new clients

I had an awful experience with this dental office. After receiving routine dental services, I was shocked to find out that despite paying the full amount at the time of service, the office then tried to submit a claim to my insurance for the same services I had already paid for. This is completely unprofessional and feels dishonest. When I called to get an explanation of the bill, they were dismissive and unhelpful.

Instead of resolving the situation, they made the process frustrating and stressful. I won’t be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone who values transparency and proper customer service.

Basically had no sense of human decency, treated me like I was a burden for calling and asking what kind of insurances they take. I have some of the best insurance you can buy, and could have went forward with scheduling as a new patient, but I always ask about Medicaid first, to see how they treat me. Absolutely disgusting being talked down to the way I was on the phone. After passive aggressively telling me they aren’t taking any new patients with state Medicare, she treated me like she couldn’t wait to get off the phone with me, didn’t offer any suggestions around me NOT being able to schedule with that insurance, had zero empathy or compassion whatsoever and told me she was pretty sure no one else would accept me either.

You unprofessionally didn’t state your name when I called you, so whoever answered the phone at 1:30 on Jan 27, 2024, you lost a customer with Delta because you are NASTY. You should literally be ashamed of yourself for treating people that way.
