Dental insurance hasn’t kept up with the actual cost of care. Pretending to be oblivious to while top employees of DDMn are paid over a million dollars?Providers are underpaid, patients are confused, and hygienists are caught in the middle. Reimbursement rates barely reflect the expertise, time, and risk it takes to do our jobs well. Dentists are struggling to pay team members fairly.
Hygienists are burning out with productivity-based metrics that hurt morale. Patients are receiving rushed care because time equals money. Delta President wages: Tamera K Robinson (President & Director) $0 $1,320,859 $24,911 D4345 fee (no insurance ) 356$ Magically add delta dental premier it drops to$117, shocking write off of 239$ What business model makes this profitable in any way? One patient had dual delta coverage(one has a clause stating it will not pay if 2nd insurance is delta, so essentially paying for 2 coverages for years, patient had no idea about clause , son needs 2200 in treatment now not covered. ) These plans are nothing but a waste of money and delta dental is the leading monopoly in dental insurance with UHC coming in a short 2nd but with a much better fee schedule.
You've received countless complaints, yet policies seem to be unchanging! The dental world may all need to come together to get rid of this monopoly. Ethics and morals are clearly lacking in Delta Dental MN, increased profit margins goals, surpass the majority needs for ethical patient care. Signed burnout dental hygienist! Do better!

Even my dentist is angry at their services. I can't get any important care covered because they have these arbitrary delay tactics in place. I've been waiting for a whole year to get my wisdom teeth out because if I don't wait then they won't cover it. I chose to get my insurance through work but now I regret that decision. Sometimes, my teeth hurt so bad .
. . I can't afford to pay out of pocket for it.

I recently had a root canal and paid what I thought was my portion at the dental office. Only to be sent a $1,300 surprise bill later because Delta Dental only covered $53. I would not recommend Delta Dental. All in, I paid over $2,000 for this one service.

Delta dental is a joke! Waste of time and money. Find any other dental plan because this is sure to give you headaches . They’ll say it’s covered then send a check in the mail. This check no one will cash because they can’t verify the funds . Can’t speak to a supervisor because they don’t want to talk on the phone. Can’t find the right department because they don’t care.
They will transfer you until you hit the end of the road . The calls will fail and no one will know what to tell you besides sorry . Canceling my policy and will never ever go with delta dental . Be on the phone for over an hour and have literally solved nothing .
