Terrible experience with this dentist. Bad scheduling: pushed my appointment a week later to give my time to someone else. Refused to do general teeth cleaning for me, but forced me to do a deep root teeth cleaning.

Said there is no general cleaning, if don’t do the deep cleaning, and the deep cleaning is quoted for more than $500 of out of pocket pay. Never go there!!! No staff, cold atmosphere, low level system, bad receptionist.

Going to the dentist is never a fun experience for me, but everyone at Dr Demizio's office are so nice and welcoming. The staff members are super friendly and treated me well. I will definitely come back and recommend you to my friends and family.

After having several terrible experiences at other in network (The Dental Network) dentists, I found Dr. Demizio. It was a very good experience. The staff are very efficient and kind. I got an appointment quickly and did not wait more than 5-10 minutes each visit to be seen. Both offices are super clean.

The assistants are very good at keeping you comfortable during procedures. I had a crown done by dentist and the oral surgeon did an extraction and bone graft. The quality of their work was excellent and I had zero complaints or complications. Their fees are very reasonable. I am so grateful to have found them.

While I typically refrain from leaving reviews, I find it necessary to share my recent experience with this dental group. My review focuses exclusively on the customer service aspect and does not reflect on Dr. Demizio's dental skills. This year, I left my full-time job to pursue a master's degree, resulting in a loss of health and dental insurance. Fortunately, I obtained coverage through the Maryland Health Exchange, allowing me to address dental procedures that were previously deferred due to pregnancy. However, the available dental insurance options were not optimal, leading me to choose a Delta insurance plan for its apparent cost savings. Having recently moved to the Germantown area, I sought a local dentist and found Dr. Demizio as the closest provider. Despite some negative reviews, particularly concerning the receptionist, I decided to take a chance and scheduled an appointment.

In an oversight, I mistakenly informed the receptionist that I had Aetna dental insurance during the initial intake process. She promptly scheduled an appointment for me to address a broken tooth, which was one positive factor. Upon presenting my Delta insurance information during the scheduled visit, I was informed that the practice did not currently accept Delta Insurance. Clarifying the misunderstanding, I explained that I had Delta instead of the Aetna insurance that I had initially told her and apologized for any confusion. I also mentioned using the network search tool, which led me to their office, and thought that the search tool was up do date. The receptionist suggested returning in the new year when they would be accepting my insurance. While I initially didn't dwell on the situation, I later felt increasingly uneasy about it. Instead of waiting until the new year to see the dentist, I scheduled an appointment with my former dentist and asked him for his perspective on my dental plan. He explained the challenges providers face with Delta Dental's reimbursement rates, an understandable perspective.

After careful consideration, I realized that the receptionist at Dr. Demizio's office was likely aware of these challenges but chose not to proceed with my appointment. As a result of this experience, I have decided to explore alternative dental plans and will remain a client of Dr. Jay Chung who was kind enough to offer his perspective and still provide excellent dental care in spite of not having the best insurance plan. I cannot support a practice that appears willing to discriminate based on a choice of dental plan. Needless to say I will not be returning to Dr. Demizio's office.
