Detailed Introduction

The Dental Care Center, located at 646 S Walker St, Bloomington, IN 47403, has been a cornerstone of dental care in the Bloomington community since its establishment in 1980. It operates as a comprehensive dental clinic, providing a broad spectrum of services to meet the diverse oral health needs of its patients. The center specializes in general dentistry, oral surgery, and periodontics, indicating a multi-faceted approach to dental care. Dr. Jill Reitmeyer, DDS, is listed among the dentists practicing at the center. A key aspect of Dental Care Center's mission is its commitment to accessibility, offering quality dental services to all individuals, with a particular focus on providing reduced fees for low-income individuals. This dedication to community welfare is further evidenced by their acceptance of a wide range of dental insurance plans, including Medicaid, HIP, and CareCredit, making dental care more attainable for a larger population. Typical services offered at a dental clinic like the Dental Care Center would encompass diagnostic and preventive care such as examinations, x-rays, and teeth cleanings. They likely also provide restorative procedures like fillings, root canal treatments, and crowns, as well as tooth extractions and periodontal maintenance. Given their listed specialties, more complex procedures related to oral surgery and gum health would also be available. The name "Dental Care Center" itself implies a facility with multiple practitioners and a broad array of services, aligning with the characteristics of a clinic rather than a single-dentist practice.

Don't even bother. I made an appointment 6 months ago for a buckle filling that fell out, they wouldn't repair it that day, and said it'd be fine to wait 2 months, well after a month a tooth broke off, still couldn't get seen, had to have my two teeth pulled from this negligence. I have guardianship of a 16 year old made her an appointment for today, because I couldn't find anyone accepting patients, my husband took her after I confirmed the appointment and they were closed, this is a joke.

This place should be shut down. Ever since Jill left there's clearly no confident people working

This place is a joke!! They messed up my bottom dentures and they had to remake them. Well it’s been 6 months and still don’t have them.

I’ve been calling them for 2 weeks now and no one answers the phone so I stopped by there and their door is locked. I can’t seem to find any other numbers to try to call to reach someone I wouldn’t go here only reason I did is because they were the only ones that took my insurance

Went in for dentures, knew my bottom set of teeth were going bad. She took the xray and said she could save the bottom set with a root canal but never made the appointment to do said root canal. Fast forward barely two and a half months later and I’m in severe pain in my bottom arch. I call about how long it’ll be for the dentures to be done, and to tell her about the pain. She didn’t believe me about the pain, and I ended up having to go to the ER to get antibiotics where the dr at the er said for your best health quality call your oral surgeon.

The oral surgeon didn’t argue with me and took the remaining 22 teeth. She claimed my insurance wouldn’t pay for any but the first arch and the cleaning. My insurance paid to get the remaining teeth removed because it ended up becoming an emergency situation. Their services here are horrendous, they don’t ever answer the phone and rarely call you back, they don’t listen to patient anatomy, which I explained to her I lose my insurance in February and won’t have the means to keep up on detailed cleaning for my teeth and she still tried to force the root canal on me. Now I don’t have ANY of my teeth because she never actually got me scheduled for those deep cleanings.

Luckily I went to the ER and they gave me antibiotics before I got the rest of them removed, because the infection was about to spread either into my sinus or my bloodstream. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has had this issue, and from the looks of things many more have had just as bad if not worse experience than I had. I don’t like giving only one star, but to me that’s too generous. They don’t listen to their patients, who know their bodies.

Is this place closed??? A friend of mine went there, had 1 appointment and scheduled the next... well the doors are locked and their voicemail is full. One star is generous considering.
