Teresa Wooddell gave me a root canal 4 years ago. Let me tell you, I have been on a 4 year journey of chronic tooth pain ever since. First, her dental assistant gave me the numbing shots which was extremely painful and the numbing liquid dripped all over my tongue. I don’t think much of that because she could have been new and is still learning. The day after my root canal, I had unimaginable pain for a week until it dulled out. I went back in to consult her the day after and she told me the pain was normal. (Considering I had a second root canal done in Cary months later and I had no pain whatsoever after, this was a lie.

) Well, I dealt with a dull pain when chewing on that tooth for months after. When I went to the specialist in Cary who did an AMAZING job on my second root canal, he took x-rays of the one Teresa did, as I had told him about the pain. He told me I shouldn’t have any kind of pain or feeling if she performed a root canal and removed the nerves. When he got the x-rays done, he showed me the images of how she LEFT PART OF THE ROOT IN??? He said some dentists choose to do this for why? I’m not sure. But, she absolutely botched my tooth. He told me there’s only a 50/50 chance he could go in behind her crap work and fix it. Well, I couldn’t afford another 3K on something that may not even be able to be fixed.

Flash forward to now, I’ve got an abscess on my gum under that botched root canal she gave me. Yup. So, now what do I have to do? I have to have it lanced and EXTRACTED. All that money, all this pain, all the anxiety, and on top of it all? She was extremely unprofessional when my grandmother called to confront her about it to get some kind of reimbursement. Just absolutely RUDE! I can’t speak for the other dentists here, but stay as far away from Teresa as you can!!!!!!! HORRIBLE DENTIST

I was having trouble finding a dentist because I had no one to ask so I formed to the reviews and dental care of Sanford was exactly how the reviewers described it! I'm very happy with my choice. The staff is amazing and the Dentist is even better. I give this office 10 stars!!!

Marilyn Pearson

The most personable, compassionate, professional dentist ever. She was very patient to me to say she pulls teeth. She was very direct and showed concern and explained everything to my understanding. Yes my entire family will be under her dental care.
