Detailed Introduction

Dental Dreams is a prominent dental care provider with multiple clinic locations across various states, including Michigan, Illinois, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. The company emphasizes a patient-centered approach, striving to make dental visits positive and stress-free experiences for both adults and children. Their mission is to deliver comprehensive dental care, ensuring optimal oral health and beautiful smiles for their patients. A key aspect of Dental Dreams' philosophy is their commitment to accessibility. They welcome various forms of dental insurance, including PPO and Medicaid, and often provide flexible evening and weekend hours to accommodate busy schedules. The clinics are designed to be family-friendly, aiming to put children at ease during their appointments. Dental Dreams offers a broad spectrum of dental services, encompassing general dentistry as well as more specialized treatments. These services typically include: Preventive Care: Dental check-ups, teeth cleanings, exams, and X-rays to maintain oral hygiene and detect issues early. Restorative Procedures: Fillings, crowns, bridges, and dentures to repair damaged or missing teeth. Cosmetic Dentistry: Teeth whitening to enhance the aesthetic appearance of smiles. Specialized Treatments: Root canals, extractions, and fluoride treatments. They also mention services related to prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, oral pathology, oral medicine, oral surgery, and radiology, indicating a wide scope of practice. The company prides itself on having experienced dentists capable of performing "ALL avenues of general dentistry," setting them apart from practices with limited service offerings. While some online reviews from former employees highlight challenges within the corporate structure, particularly regarding scheduling and material availability, patient testimonials for specific locations often commend the staff's professionalism, friendliness, and the quality of care received. Dental Dreams aims to be the long-term dental home for families, prioritizing patient care over profitability, a principle they state was ingrained as the company was founded by a dentist.

The only reason they are getting one star is because I can't leave a review without putting a star. Guess this place doesn't want to actually see true comments. My daughter who has very very severe anxiety and has trouble leaving her home took my 9 year old grandson to this place that is suppose to be good at working with children and THAT IS SO NOT TRUE. They were taken back to a room where the Dental Hygienist Victoria did not even greet my grandson, explain where to sit or what was happening during this visit. Wow what a way to treat a 9 year old.

Victoria followed my daughter to the front desk and continued being rude. All this was going on with a dentist sitting in the room not saying a word. So in my opinion that makes him as bad at Victoria. Dentist should have intervened and stopped that behavior immediately! Once my daughter left the building Victoria stood in the doorway laughing because services were not provided. I am in the process of contacting the corporate office because THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT A CHILD.

KEEP YOUR FEELINGS TO YOURSELF AND DO YOUR JOB OR FIND A JOB WHERE YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH CHILDREN OR ANYONE FOR THAT MATTER. Since Victoria knows my daughter outside of the dental office, I will be watching facebook and if I see any comments, I will be contacting an attorney. Watch your insurance bills as well, this place bills Medicaid for services that are not provided. Sounds like alot of illegal things going on here.

I’ll give a A for getting me in right on time. Then an F for completing my biannual cleaning in UNDER 12 minutes (I literally sat in the lobby at 4:00 and left the place at 4:14). In my entire life I have never had my teeth cleaned in less than 30 minutes. I’ve also never had them cleaned with a “screaming” tool (which sounded just like a drill for cavities) for plaque removal. I always had a hygienist that meticulously hand cleaned every tooth with various dental scrapers.

I feel bad for everyone who can’t afford good private insurance and must go to Medicaid providers who literally “treat you and street you”. I had a filling done there a month ago that feels like it has a concerning “pocket” too. I was shocked when I looked at my teeth afterward, to see silver amalgam in the filling! I haven’t seen silver amalgam used since I was a kid. I honestly didn’t think they used it anymore. It’s, very unattractive in the teeth.

I wish they would have said something before doing the filling because I would have declined the work, or I would have requested a tooth colored filling be done. I will note that the staff was not unkind or unfriendly, but I do NOT think that the care, communication and the time provided was/is adequate or appropriate for something as important as a person’s teeth!! Just be WARY if you really care a lot about your teeth/smile! In hindsight, it’s seems worth paying the premium to go to a good dentist, even out-of-pocket, then risk your teeth taking a chance with just any dentist ( Medicaid). Additionally, if you are going to go to this dentist, express your concerns before they begin! And express your concerns afterward If you feel the care was sub par. advocate for yourself! I do feel bad writing a low star review, but I really do think this experience information is important for the public to make an informed decision on their dental care/provider choice.

I felt very rushed the whole time. Between my two kids and I, we saw the dentist for about 4 minutes TOTAL. There was no real introduction even though it was our first time there, he just mumbled his name and saw us for our like, minute each. I’m not used to this kind of care at all, coming from a family dentist that retired. Felt the whole time like we were rushed to be in and out.

On top of that, my two kids were very nervous, and I told him that before they started and he didn’t slow down to explain what he was doing to anything. He didn’t try to ease their anxiety at all. Just the same mumbling of his name and doing what he had to do as quickly as possible before going to the next. That being said, the front desk staff were very sweet and kind.

Staff was friendly place seemed clean. Was not happy though made an appointment for my son and all they did was look at his teeth and when I asked him how his teeth felt after being cleaned after we left he said they never cleaned them. I called and they said you needed a separate appointment for that and this was not a cleaning appointment, which is what I scheduled.

This appointment was just an evaluation saying he had two cavities if he really does? We went back in because I was upset so we drove back to the dental office because we had drove almost 40 minutes to get to this appointment and they did get us in for a very quick cleaning under 10 minutes.
