Dental One Associates at Steeplechase

I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the orthodontic care I have received from Dental One Oxon Hill After paying approximately $4,000 for braces, I expected consistent and professional treatment — but what I have experienced instead has been frustrating, disorganized, and ultimately unacceptable. At the start of my treatment, I was under the care of one orthodontist who provided structure and a clear treatment plan. However, after two years, that provider left the practice. Since then, I have been seen by a different orthodontist at nearly every visit. This constant turnover has led to a lack of continuity in my care and a growing sense of distrust in the process. Adding to my concern, I went over six months without a single adjustment, despite reaching out several times.

I was then notified the location was closing and I would be transferred to the Steeplechase location. When I was finally able to secure an appointment, it was only after the same appointment was rescheduled four times. The appointment was ultimately set for 12:00 p. m. , and when I arrived on time, I was told I would have to wait an additional two hours to be seen. This is simply unacceptable — not only as a paying patient, but as someone trying to manage their time and health responsibly.

The level of disorganization, inconsistency, and lack of follow-through I’ve experienced is inexcusable — especially given the significant financial investment I’ve made. I do not feel that I’ve received the quality of care promised at the start of my treatment, and I am concerned about how this will affect my results. I am requesting a formal explanation for the lack of adjustments, the repeated appointment cancellations, and the inconsistency in care. I also expect a plan of action to resume and complete my treatment promptly — at no additional cost to me. If I do not receive a timely and satisfactory response within 10 business days, I will have no choice but to file formal complaints with the state dental board and consumer protection agencies.

Service at Dental One Associates was exemplary. I was greeted immediately upon entering. Wait time…what wait time. I went to my car to retrieve my ear pods (2 minutes) when I returned my name had been called and Ms.

Kim was right there with a welcoming smile. Overall my experience was top tier from the receptionist, dental assistants and the dentist herself. 10 out of 10 I’ll most definitely recommend.

Dr Wilson, Sheila and staff are an awesome team. I have never been to a dental office that makes you feel so welcomed and comfortable. My normal level of anxiety is usually tops, but never with Dr Wilson. He is very patient, understanding & considerate when it comes to addressing your fears & anxieties. Dr. Wilson goes above & beyond during the dental procedure, talks you thru it, and is very detailed in his findings & results. Sheila is a very valuable asset to the office. She is very welcoming and always pleasant. She is very knowledgeable, informative and a great help in providing the details of your financial obligations prior to any procedure.

Sheila & the staff are very accommodating in scheduling appointments . . . and will not hesitate to contact you if an earlier appointment becomes available. Thank you DentalOne for your awesome services . . . you are truly a keeper!!
