I took some time to cool down before writing this review. I wanted to objectively outline why I DO NOT RECOMMEND going to this dentist. Working with this dentist has confirmed why I find it so difficult to trust dental professionals in general. Right off the bat and without fail, Dr. Oh recommended all expensive procedures first. A crown and a periodontal cleaning. During my visits I repeatedly asked to ensure my insurance covered my procedures and was repeatedly assured that they were. Many were not or were downgraded. Whether it be through dishonesty or something else more nefarious on the dentist's part, my insurance (also terrible, clearly) downgraded and outright refused to cover some procedures.

On top of that, Dr. Oh (after several appeals) could NOT manage to PROVE I needed my periodontal cleaning. The "write up" they sent to appeal the denied coverage was sparse and puzzlingly elementary. How does an experienced dentist write something so. . . useless? Worse still she and her staff decided somehow that they "did not want to commit the time" to proving it and appeal again. This baffled even my insurance agents who encouraged the appeals with new data. How does a dentist not want to get paid? Was I scammed? It does not make sense.

I ended up paying nearly $1000 above my initial payments. Do not go to this dentist unless you are forced to and if you are forced to, do not get any procedures done on your first day, get a predetermination for expensive stuff and pre-estimates for everything else. From my point of view, these people do NOT care about you. I believe they only care about giving you expensive crowns and deep cleanings you do not need. And yes, I think you should expect to be strong armed with the threat of sending you to collections even if they cannot prove you needed the procedure. I now live with the sting of so much extra money taken from me and severe temperature sensitivity from the cleaning I may or may not have needed. Run the other way.

I have just recently switch to Dental Solutions and have been happy with the switch. Tiffany at the front desk is so amazing and helpful as she helped get my Delta Dental insurance squared away. Dr. Oh is so attentive and patient as I have both sensitive teeth and somewhat of fear of going to the dentist.

She and her staff were super supportive and helpful. Recently, I had a crown put on (today) and they were super helpful over the last week to ensure I was comfortable while my crown was being made. They are a great outfit and if you are looking for someone who still takes insurance try them out.

Would not recommend. I came here with TMJ complaints. Dr. Oh spent approximately 30 seconds looking at my mouth before recommending a very expensive night guard. The appliance made my pain worse and when I told Dr.

Oh she recommended I go to a TMJ specialist… She barely spent any time with me and instead of referring me out for something she clearly is not experienced with she first took my money. In more pain than ever and out $500. Extremely disappointed.

Dental Solutions of Brookhaven is a great dental office. The office has been opened for about 1 year. It is very clean, uncluttered, modern, and pleasant. The staff are very friendly and soft spoken. Had my cleaning done by Anastasia. She was very gentle and gave me great suggestions on how to improve my brushing technique.

Brieftly met Dr. Ahn. He was pleasant to converse with and conveyed follow-up needs in a simple and through manner. Great visit and definitely recommend.
