I made an appointment here and we subsequently had a difficult time confirming insurance coverage. This consisted of many calls back and forth from my insurance to this office. During one phone call with the office, I was trying to explain myself when the receptionist kept interrupting me. I waited for her to finish speaking and started my thought again.

Again she interrupted me. This happened two times and when she finally took a breath I explained to her that I was trying to explain myself but she keeps interrupting me. She proceeded to tell me that this is not the right office for me and hung the phone up on me.

The worst pediatric dentist ever. First time, he didn't show up, second time he showed up during cleaning and the hygienist forgot to apply Fluoride. The office told me that they wouldn't charge for it but they ended up charging $23 to me. My daughter has severe teeth grinding problem but when I told him about this, he told me that my daughter had chipped her teeth and this is not teeth grinding. 50% of my daughter's front four teeth are gone. Then I took her to another dentist and they told me she has severe grinding problem and needs mouth guards. When I asked them for x-rays, they told me they have only 3 X-rays.

Really?? And all of them were worthless, they don't even know how to take X-rays. None of them were showing full teeth. All three of them show half of few teeth. Horrible place, please go somewhere else. . .

I lost trust with this provider. I have three kids and this is the only dentist they visit since day 1. We take them regularly follow up as required. I had concerns about my 8 year old daughter's teeth. I have been verbalizing concerns since she was 6 going on 7, that she lost most of her baby teeth but permanent teeth are not coming out. I had same issue growing up therefore I was on top of it. I was not taken seriously.

They continue to tell me she still young. Last visit, Dr Powell said spacer is the only option she has. I said to him but I have been expressing concern since she was 6, well we can do spacer now see if it helps her permanent teeth come out and will check in 6 month. She had the spacer. 5 month went by no change. I decided to take her to orthodontist this summer, we did and they were shocked how crowded her gum is, x-ray shows that she has lots of permanent teeth trying to come in but there was no space. They say she should have been put on expanders early on, now is too late for that.

The spacer Dr Powell put was inflamed, they removed it. Now the recommendation is for them to extract 4 permanent teeth out in order to make space:( costing my poor innocent daughter 4 permanent teeth. Today I took them for cleaning and to let Dr Powell know what orthodontist said. I also want to let him know that how we let this happen, and how come it wasn't caought early enough for expanders, he said "I don't know" "may be it was recommended and wasn't followed up" My God that got me upset because I have been telling them there is a problem, they didn't listen to me there is no way that they recommend and I didn't followed up. The bottom line is, they don't care about your kids, especially you are black and foreigner, which is sad, I have a good insurance, I pay my dues, I don't know why else my kid was not taken seriously. My kids will never come back to this place again.

We no longer live in the area, but my daughter received great dental care from Dr. Powell and his staff from age 3 or 4 all the way through her braces. The office staff was courteous and helpful, and the hygienist was very sweet to my daughter. Since Dr. Powell is also an orthodontist, it was convenient to go to the same provider at the same location! I highly recommend Dr. Wesley Powell.
