If I could give this dentist zero stars, I certainly would. My family and I didn’t even get to see a dentist, because our experience with the front desk was so awful. Upon entry, we were told that we did not have dental coverage, despite having coverage for over 20 years. The lady at the front desk then proceeded to call our insurance on speaker phone and give out our information to the alleged insurance with other patients in the waiting area. After the very loud call, she again claimed we had no insurance. While one member of my family pulled up prior evidence of dental coverage, another called our member service number and found that we DO have coverage and the insurance claimed they did not recently receive a call from any dental office.

By the time this information was available, the front desk lady yet again called the insurance, this time not on speaker phone (assuming because she was wrong the first time). After this phone call, she yet again came out and was shouting our business and asked us about another patient, which is a HIPPA and FERPA violation. When a member of our family responded in a terse manner, the lady said “oh I’m sorry, you’re a little sensitive today”. At this point my family made the decision to leave and claimed, “We’re good, we’re gonna go somewhere else. ” The front desk lady said “That’s fine. Here’s your paperwork.

We don’t need information on rude patients” and practically threw the paper work at us. We have no experience with an actual dentist, because simply the customer service of the front desk. This review serves as a warning to the potential patients, to find another dentist. The way we were treated was extremely unprofessional and quite frankly a danger to our information considering the countless HIPPA and FERPA violations, especially considering the information of minors.

I had a new bridge and 3 crowns done there. The whole experience could not have been better!! From the receptionist to the dentist and everyone in between they were just outstanding!! Quick,painless and very reasonable!! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a dentist office!! Paulie

The office staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and experienced, making my visit a smooth and positive experience. I have had both a regular cleaning and some fillings done here, and I already trust Desert Palms Dental as my go-to dental office.
