Detailed Introduction

Dr. George R. Sitterle, DDS, operates a dental practice situated at 820 Stanton Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15209. The practice primarily focuses on general dentistry, which encompasses a wide range of services designed to maintain oral hygiene and address common dental issues. These services typically include routine check-ups, cleanings, fillings, and other general restorative procedures. Dr. Sitterle is listed as a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), which suggests adherence to certain professional standards and ethics within the dental field. However, online sentiment and reviews concerning the practice reveal a mixed and, in some cases, concerning picture. While details on the specific "philosophy" of the practice are not explicitly stated on public profiles, patient feedback often highlights the overall experience. A recurring theme in online reviews and discussions points to significant issues with billing and patient communication. Multiple reports from patients describe unauthorized charges to their bank accounts or credit cards, often without prior notification or billing statements. These issues are frequently attributed to the practice's receptionist, who is also identified as Dr. Sitterle's wife. Patients have reported rude and unhelpful interactions with the receptionist, leading to frustration and confusion regarding financial matters. Some reviews suggest that the practice's handling of insurance claims and payment collection has been problematic for patients. These negative experiences, particularly regarding financial transparency and customer service, overshadow the typical expectations of a dental practice and have led to a considerable number of negative reviews and complaints on various platforms.

I was a POTENTIAL new patient. After reading the reviews here and elsewhere, I decided to stop by the office myself before committing. Friendly little town, walking by, why not peek in and say hi (the place was empty--I wasn't disrupting anything)? The fact that I did that was enough for the receptionist to tell me they didn't want my business. After some more rudeness on her part, I carelessly made the comment that 'you really are the demon receptionist they talk about online. ' That was my mistake, since I should have realized from the other reviews how fanatically religious she is.

She shouted at me, 'I rebuke you' several times and basically put a curse on me. It is unfortunate because I want to support local business, and it is very close to me. By most accounts, the Dr. himself is quite good, and there is some suspicion that rude replies here are written by the receptionist and not him. [EDIT: Regarding, the Owner reply, I did not ask to tour the entire office.

I do have to say this was a refreshingly measured response after reading some of the others. Maybe the good Dr. did write it himself, or the receptionist is learning to moderate. And maybe her curse worked: Shortly after, I got rear-ended while stopped at a red light :)]

If I could give a negative review I would!! This practice should be shut down for their unprofessional and illegal behavior. DO NOT GO HERE. They will charge your card without authorization and when questioned will scream at you and tell you to go elsewhere. Absolutely ridiculous! Please save yourself the time, headache, and care of your teeth!!

So, I went for a normal cleaning. They took my insurance card. Said I was good. PPO Blue, is my insurance. Which I have Dental and health insurance. 2 weeks later, I get a letter saying I owe $155 for a cleaning. Okay, I try calling them to settle it. And nobody has Answered.

BUT WAIT, his witch wife called my GRANDPARENTS and said they would CRASH MY CREDIT AND SUE ME over $155. I’ve left over 10 voicemails. I used the same card at my doctors office 2 weeks prior and they had 0 issue. Called them and found out the dentist had not used the correct info. I have 0 issue paying them. But the way they have treated me and my family will not go un-noticed. This place is a joke.

The receptionist called me yesterday and left a message about 94 dollars I owe them which I honestly forgot, she stated they will ruin my credit so I can't get credit anywhere else since I was blowing them off. So I called her back and apologized and asked if they take credit cards, she called me a psychopath and deadbeat for not paying my bill, I told her again how sorry I was and was not my intention. It's a shame cause he is very nice dentist but his wife the receptionist ruined it, she is not a nice person.

Not how you should run a business.
