I cannot emphasize enough how terrible my experience with Dr. Lipkin has been. For three years, I trusted him with my orthodontic treatment in preparation for double jaw surgery and it was the biggest mistake I could have made. Dr. Lipkin is by far the worst choice for orthodontic care. His inflated reputation clearly clouds his judgment, and it’s evident that he has taken on far more than he can competently handle. I experienced this firsthand when he completely mismanaged my treatment. He repeatedly withheld critical information, refused to consult with my surgeon (a vital step in coordinating my care), and continually misled me about my progress and timeline. Each time I questioned my treatment plan, he gaslit me into believing I was overreacting — all while deliberately dragging out my treatment for his own financial gain. It became painfully clear that I was nothing more than a monthly paycheck to him. After enduring years of frustration, emotional stress, and wasted finances, I finally sought a second opinion. My new Orthodontist was shocked by the state of my treatment and the sheer negligence involved. I ultimately switched doctors to ensure I was actually moving forward with my surgery. When I called Dr.

Lipkin’s office to request a prorated refund — since I left mid-treatment — they ignored my calls and refused to let me speak with him directly. This is not just unprofessional — it’s disgraceful. Braces are a significant financial investment, and to be treated this way after three years of wasted time and trust is infuriating. I’ve lost three years of my life because of Dr. Lipkin’s incompetence and greed. I strongly urge anyone considering this practice to stay far away. Don’t let this man jeopardize your health, finances, and well-being the way he did mine. He should not be allowed to continue practicing. UPDATE: I stand by every word of my original review and your response only reinforces and further proves why I felt the need to warn others. Instead of acknowledging any part of my experience or showing any empathy/accountability, your office chose to publicly gaslight me, call me a liar multiple times, and insult another medical professional who actually helped move my treatment forward. That’s not professionalism, that’s damage control. Let’s be clear, I was under your care for nearly three years. You routinely avoided coordinating with my surgeon, downplayed my concerns, and prolonged my treatment while brushing off every timeline-related question with vague, dismissive reassurances. I was never given transparency about my progress or what was holding things back.

When I finally sought a second opinion, it became clear just how poorly my case had been handled. You claim you don’t profit from extended treatment, yet I was billed monthly while receiving no real progress. You say you’re available to patients, yet when I tried to leave and asked to speak with Dr. Lipkin directly, I was shut out entirely. That is not patient-centered care that’s exploitation. This wasn’t a case of me “not understanding the complexity”, it was a case of sustained mismanagement, zero transparency, and complete disregard for patient well-being. And now, your public response filled with denial, hostility, and personal attacks speaks louder than anything I could ever write. And what’s most disturbing is your decision to publicly disclose details of my treatment timeline, reference personal communications involving my mother, and discuss the “complexity” of my case all without my consent. That’s not just unethical it may be a violation of HIPAA, which legally prohibits healthcare providers from disclosing protected health information, even in response to a review. I’m not the first to raise these concerns, and I hope others will read this and make an informed decision. Orthodontic care, especially in preparation for major surgery, is too big of an investment to gamble on, especially with a so called doctor this irresponsible. Dr. Lipkin is an excellent Orthodontist. He’s knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and takes the time to explain every step of the treatment plan. The office is clean, modern, and well-run, with a friendly staff that makes each visit smooth and efficient. If you’re looking for quality orthodontic care in the Westwood, NJ area, I highly recommend Dr. Lipkin.

I came in a little while go to fix my retainer and it was such an easy and quick fix, everyone was so professional and kind. I know I am always in good hands when I go to see him. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for ortho work!
