I am a new patient to this practice and highly recommend their services. I get very anxious when it comes to dental work and am sensitive to drilling, etc. My most recent visit I had to get a cavity filled and I expressed my nervousness. They accommodated me extremely well, provided head phones so I could listen to my own music and even turned on my favorite TV program.

I've had poor experiences in the past with being numbed but Dr. Gaida was quick and extremely efficient. Her technique is great and my overall experience with her and assistant Kim was wonderful. Can't ever remember feeling that way about getting a cavity filled!

My husband , David, and I have gone to Dr. Komendera for many years. He and his dental hygienists and dental assistants have always taken adequate time with us and provided us with exactly the dental care we needed. He provided excellent corrective orthodontic care to both of our kids growing up.

In recent years, we have also had Dr. AJ work on our teeth, and he, too, has done an excellent job.

The biggest regret of my life was coming to this dental office. I have had bonding to conceal my chipped front tooth since I was 8 years old. The bonding occasionally would need to be replaced every so often due to wear and tear and the nature of bonding not being a permanent fix. About 4 years ago I was looking for a reputable cosmetic dentist in my area, as the dental office I had previously been treated at was not a cosmetic speciality office. The reason I was searching for a new dentist was that I was not happy with the color match of my bonding with the rest of my teeth as I had whitened my teeth over the years. That is when I found this office. I was placed with Dr. Andrew John Lukowski who re-did the bonding on my front tooth. A few weeks later the bonding popped off (as it often did) and I returned for Dr. Lukowski to re-bond my tooth. With the nature of bonding being a non-permanent option, this was something I was very used to and okay with. I had always loved my large teeth and did not want to have to shave my real teeth down for Veneers. Dr. Lukowski decided the bonding came off because my “bite was off.

” Without my consent or any communication with me, he decided it would be in my best interest to shave down my four front teeth to “fix” my bite and ensure my bonding would stay in place. I was absolutely distraught as I always loved my teeth and smile and he completely shaved them down. One of them was even shaved crooked on a slant… my natural teeth which I always loved were ruined and shaved so small so this dentist wouldn’t be bothered to re-bond my tooth for me as my previous dentist had done many many times throughout my life. I didn’t understand why the dentist wouldn’t have shaved down my BOTTOM teeth that weren’t visible when I smiled. I couldn’t believe he made such an unbelievably permanent decision without asking me if I was okay with this. As a registered nurse in Aesthetics and future Nurse Practitioner myself, I was shocked at the lack of communication or transparency. It was evident Dr. Lukowski did not have the best interest of his patients at heart, and wanted the quickest and easiest fix without explaining to me what my teeth would look like. I returned to the office with my mother a few days later and was met by the owner, Dr. Komendera who was kind enough to sit with me to discuss this horrendous experience. He agreed that Dr. Lukowski should not have shaved my top teeth down and that this was not protocol. During our appointment, you could literally see Dr. Lukowski actively avoiding my mother and I as he knew he was in the wrong.

He wasn’t even able to come apologize or explain his thought process. With limited options available, Dr. Komendera placed bonding on all four of my front teeth in an effort to “reverse” the permanent damage Dr. Lukowksi had created and try to give me back my teeth. Years have gone by and this one experience has costed me thousands and thousands of dollars as I have had to try and “fix” my teeth after Dr. Lukowski made this careless decision with zero communication or options for me beforehand. I will never have my beautiful teeth back and this has been a nightmare for me throughout my 20s. I am still devastated by this everyday and am now faced with the reality that I will probably have to receive veneers one day because of this. While I was a young girl when this situation happened, I truly do not understand how this happened to me. Dr. Lukowski is completely selfish and shouldn’t be a medical professional if he cannot effectively and respectfully communicate with his patients and give them options. I have tried to get in touch with this office and they have been extremely hard to reach and very rude placing blame on me. Please DO NOT visit this office as the decision to come here has cost me my natural teeth and I will never get them back.
