Best dentist I've ever had. Procedures are painless and Dr Lo and all the dental hygienists are kind and knowledgeable. They aren't chatting up a storm like other hygenists I've had, they focus on what they are doing.

I called 3 times in August and booked my appointment over the phone with the secretary for mid October . After I went in today, now in mid October, they said no such schedule was placed and my time slot was given away. They have no explanation to why a confirmed reservation is now gone.

Extremely unprofessional to confirm a scheduled time with a patient ,have them take half a day off work and not have the appointment slot reserved. Front desk staff needs to be retrained in booking appointments

I usually don’t like to write reviews unless it’s a positive review but I feel I have the responsibility to other patients to leave an honest informative review with regards to a failed root canal treatment I received from dr lo. I am not certain when my root canal was done as I no longer have the record but it was indeed done by Dr lo. During my recent visits to endodontist, the examination shows there were no cracks in my existing tooth to cause the infection, but it appears that dr lo has missed a root canal, the gum surrounding region where he failed to fill, there was swelling and abscess. According to the internet, the success rate of root canal procedure is usually 80-90%. Either I am a special case, very unfortunate, or that dr lo just doesn’t have the proper training or skills (since he was not trained as an endodontist) to perform this particular procedure. the clinic also doesn’t have the same higher magnification microscope used in a typical endodontist clinic and I suspect it was a contributing factor to the missed root canal. in hindsight, now that I have to do a root canal re-treatment, I regret not seeking a specialist like an Endodontist to do the job right the first time because subsequent re-treatment of the root canal yields a a lower success rate and could adversely effect the longevity of your tooth. Dr lo also did not make any efforts to inform me of the potential risks of doing such a procedure by a none specialist, thus, I wasn’t able to make an informed decision.

I’ve been at this clinic for over 20+ year and overall I think dr lo does an adequate job within his scope of specialization and I haven’t had any major issues with my fillings and teeth cleaning done by him. But I would not recommend the services outside of his scope. Also be wary that the clinic does not adhere to their stated penalty fees for missed appointments. At the time of booking, the confirmation email stated, in clear writing, that patients who fail to cancel appointment on time will be charged $50 dollars. I was prepared to pay for this fee as it was due to my own carelessness that I failed to cancel the appointment in time because I was out of the country and could not get back due to the pandemic. When i reached out to dr lo to re-book my appointment, he tells the receptionist to let me know I will be charged $100 instead, or I will be refused any future appointments. I asked the receptionist why they would charge $100 when it was stated $50 in the email and she replied “it is because of the pandemic”. I reasoned that they should honour the amount stated in writing as it is dishonest and bad business practice to renege on a stated penalty fee amount.

Despite acknowledging that it was in fact $50 dollars stated in the email and that it was an error made on their part, dr lo still persisted that I would be charged $100, or would not see me for any future appointments. $50 dollars more is not a significant amount but this is a matter of principle and poor businesses practice. Business should honour what is agreed upon and written on paper and not jack up the price on the spot, especially during a time (pandemic) when patients are desperate to get their teeth fixed and vulnerable. I have since left the clinic for a more expensive clinic downtown. I am being charged more here but at least they are clear about their fees/penalty fees.

Dr. LO is the most outstanding dentist I have ever been to. Her gentle approach and incredible knowledge had played a huge role in recovering my teeth. I had so much work that needed to be done, and I had the most amazing time at the dentist.

My front teeth had a stain that was impossible to could get rid of and her cleaning professional and Dr Lo herself made my teeth sparkly white and removed the stain. The entire office team is so friendly and caring that it completely erased my fear of dentists. I can'tt wait for my next appointment now. This office has such a positive atmosphere and too notch technology too! 😍
