I was in need of a new dentist in Kalamazoo. Drake Dental had great reviews online so I decided to try it out. When I had my cleaning done the service and staff seemed friendly. Only after is when my nightmare started. When paying for my service they said that my insurance did not cover the total amount. I called prior asking if the insurance would and they informed me it would.

Keep in mind I am under 26 so I was able to use two insurance policies, my mothers and mine. They said after billing two insurance companies I still owed money. My dad works for an insurance company and knew this did not sound correct. So he called in and they then began to apologize and said they would send me a check in the mail. Almost three months later I still did not receive anything. Today I decided to call back and check up on it.

They then proceed to tell me that they couldn't reimburse me the amount I paid but only a portion of it now. I still have yet to receive anything back. Needless to say, I will not be going back there. In addition, I feel that they recommend service for you teeth that is unneeded just to bill your insurance for more money. SUCH A RIP OFF AND SCAM!! DONT GO THERE!!!

I would not go anywhere for my dental needs than Drake Dental. All the staff are friendly, kind, and best of all my Hygienist is the most gentle than anyone I've ever had. From major work to regular cleaning, these people are the best.

Had my first appointment here today and the place surpassed my expectations. The dental hygienist, Pat, is very nice, informative and was able to answer all my questions. Dr. Duffy was just as pleasant and good looking as I hoped for :D. The dental chair are even carbon fiber. How sweet is that?! I would recommend Drake Dental to anyone.
