Our entire family has been going here for years. We switched to another practice because in the past couple of years they were slacking. My husband and I are on different insurance plans because of our jobs. No matter how many times I he and I told them, they would still run everything under his insurance. Leaving me to have to pay almost full price at first.

I would have to call so many times to get them to fix the issue. The office staff are NOT friendly and don't seem to have time to help with payments and insurance issues. I did like the dental technicians though, they were great with kids and very friendly, which made it hard to go to another dentist.

Watch out for the office staff: They do not pay much attention to paperwork, etc. They overlook charges (charges a lot more as per your insurance) and do not give you necessary paperwork at initial visit. They were very friendly at first visit. Not so much on the second one. They did not even acknowledge I was there. No a word. They kept talking among themselves.

Treatment is careless too - except for the hygienists who are nice. Dr. Quilez is a strange person - not even sure where to start. His dental assistant is a bully and very rude. Office staff made huge mistakes and rolled their eyes on me when I requested they contacted the insurance company. Needless to say: They are loser and I will never come back.

Allison, the dental hygienist, at Dr. Quilez’s office, humiliated me for about 30 minutes on my visit in March 2024. I went in for a six-month cleaning, and she refused to do it saying that all she could do was a deep cleaning, which would cost me about $348. 00. I was shocked as we had discussed on my previous visit that I could not afford it. Allison adamantly stated that she had “documented” it, like that really made a difference to me. I told her that I would not have that cleaning, and Allison came up with multiple ways I could afford to pay for it. I honestly felt like since I am an older adult that I was being taken advantage of. I kept trying to leave and Allison just kept humiliating me. The office manager came over and asked Allison if “she needed help”. Allison said, “No”, but I said, “Yes, please come in and join us. ” The office manager stated that I had the very best coverage for a deep cleaning, and I should get it done.

I repeated for the fifth time that I could not afford it. I just wanted to get out of there. Allison said she was only looking out for me and the health of my teeth and my overall health. I said, that doesn't mean I have the money to pay for it. As soon as I made my way down the steep steps, as they are not ADA accessible, and got into my car, I called my counselor. I felt completely demoralized. He told me that a lot of dental practices are telling people that they need deep cleaning to make money. I felt like that was what had happened to me. I later wrote a letter to Dr. Quilez and the office manager stating that I would not be back as a patient due to Allison humiliating me. I heard nothing back. In the meantime, I was on a wait list to see a reputable dentist.

They did a thorough workup. I didn’t need the deep cleaning but only a gingivitis cleaning, which would cost me $50. 00. They also told me to brush my gums, which feels amazing. In my letter to Dr. Quilez and the office manager, I said it would be interesting to see if they were trying to rip me off, and they were. Dr. Quilez also said I had rot on my bottom right side, and I didn’t. They were trying to rip me off because of my age, or thought I was stupid, or vulnerable, or all three. Please don’t go to this dentist! They are just trying to do everything they can to make a buck. They aren’t interested in your care!

I have been seeing Dr Smith for 8 years and followed her to this location. She always makes time to see her patients and gives the utmost care. Her assistant Jayne is very personable every time I come in she takes me right back. Lauren and Gina that are at the desk are always welcoming and make sure your bill is right if there is an issue.

Mckayla is a great hygienist and very gentle and professional. I have also seen Dr Quilez for route canals and he gave 5 star service. I also love the aesthetic of the waiting area that was recently updated especially the chairs.
