Good visit at my last appointment. Had a wonderful new dental intern who was very gentle and gave me a thorough exam. Dr. Gorman was also good with her evaluation of the interns work and explanation of my assessment. Future appointment will be for a cleaning.

Appointments are a year and a half out and it's not free, of course. You have to come back twice for one simple cleaning: once for consultation then another time for the actual cleaning. When would the actual cleaning appointment be? Don't know. They need to take down so much unnecessary info for an appointment a year and a half away. Info that could be used for ID theft, and they aren't empathetic that you fear this. It was hard to get any clear, concise, or reassuring info over the phone and her customer service manner was not kind.

These are students training to work in a dental office. That was the excuse. This excuse makes no sense. I've never had to go in twice for a dental appointment. Sounds like the college runs this program in an inefficient and uncaring manner.

Let me preface this with no one likes going to the dentist, especially yours truly. But I have been going to ECU Dental since their opening - I know each and every person here by name. Every Student who has come through this place has been wonderful, gentle and professional. The attending Physicians here are amazing teachers.

I have no problem allowing their students to perform procedures on my family or myself. All of the dental professionals here have made it through one of the most well respected, rigorous and challenging dental schools on the East Coast. I have been so fortunate to have this team get me though some of the most difficult procedures one can have. From their hygienists to their doctors and front desk- all wonderful people! As a new Patient, you will have a little bit of a wait, as they are incredibly busy, but this group of professionals is well worth the wait! Be patient please.

Rest assured, you will not be quoted unnecessary procedures at outrageous prices, if they say you need something, you need it. I urge you to trust them, as ECU Dental school is worthy of your trust.
