Detailed Introduction

Ektera Clinics, operating under the brand name "Family & Cosmetic Dentistry" at its Belmont Avenue location (and also known as Belmont and Western Dental Clinic), is a prominent dental group serving the Chicagoland area since 1995. The clinic at 2308 W Belmont Ave #1 in Chicago, IL, is one of their two locations, the other being on North Avenue. The clinics pride themselves on being fully remodeled and upgraded with 16 separate operatory rooms, equipped with new dental equipment and chairs to ensure a modern and comfortable patient experience. They prioritize patient safety and hygiene by using distilled sanitary water in their delivery systems and performing complete sterilization and monitoring. Ektera Clinics also partners with prestigious dental laboratories and utilizes high-quality materials to deliver professional and effective treatments. Under the leadership of Dr. Ali Ektera, who founded the practice in 1995 after graduating from UIC, Ektera Clinics offers a wide range of dental services. While they cover most aspects of dentistry, orthodontics is typically referred out. Dr. Ektera is certified in Surgical & Advanced Restorative Aspects of Branemark System Implants and is an active member of the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois Dental Society, and the American Dental Association, reflecting their commitment to professional standards. Their services encompass general dentistry, including routine checkups, cleanings, and preventative care, as well as comprehensive cosmetic dentistry treatments such as teeth whitening, Invisalign, and full smile makeovers. They also provide children's dentistry, offering a kid-friendly environment and services tailored to growing smiles, including cleanings, exams, and braces. A notable feature of Ektera Clinics is their multilingual staff, with other languages spoken including Spanish, Russian, Farsi, and Polish, which helps them cater to a diverse patient base in Chicago. They emphasize patient-centered care, advanced technology like digital X-rays, and a commitment to continuous education and training for their team to ensure high-quality service. They offer flexible hours, including Saturdays, to accommodate patient schedules and strive to provide cost-effective solutions for all ages.

Horrible experience...

If I could give 0 stars to thin-skinned sadist and Dentist Julia Solov I would. Today, 50 years into my experience with dentistry, she hurt me so badly giving novocaine injections that I feel it had to be intentional. "We aim for the nerve," she said, and boy did she hit it. Then, when I told her she hurt me and said she'd given me the shot wrong, she said I hurt her feelings and refused to fix my teeth.

I've had enough shots in my mouth to know that the dentist usually gives a few small shots before shooting medicine into the nerve. She did not. She hurt me, wasted my time, and then failed to do her job.
