Detailed Introduction

Emergency Dental Care USA is a prominent brand in the dental industry, specifically focusing on providing accessible and immediate dental care. The concept for Emergency Dental Care USA was developed in 2002 by Jared Derr, with the first clinic opening in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2004. The brand was inspired by the model of urgent care medical clinics, aiming to address the critical need for prompt dental attention outside of traditional office hours. Their core mission is simple: to ensure patients receive the dental care they need, precisely when they need it. This commitment translates into several key operational aspects. Emergency Dental Care USA clinics are open seven days a week, offering extended hours, including evenings and most major holidays, making them a crucial resource for individuals experiencing unexpected dental issues. They emphasize same-day treatment and welcome walk-in patients, minimizing the wait time often associated with dental emergencies. The services offered by Emergency Dental Care USA are comprehensive, catering to a wide array of dental needs, both urgent and routine. These include, but are not limited to, treatment for toothaches, chipped teeth, tooth extractions (including wisdom teeth), root canals, crowns, and dentures. They are equipped to handle various dental emergencies such as severe pain, infections, broken teeth, and lost restorations. Beyond immediate care, many of their dentists also provide general and family dentistry, offering routine exams, cleanings, fillings, and preventive care. This allows patients who initially seek emergency treatment to continue their ongoing dental care with the same practice if they choose. Emergency Dental Care USA prioritizes patient comfort and convenience. They strive to create a friendly and comfortable environment, understanding that dental emergencies can be stressful. They also work with various payment and financing options to make dental care affordable and accessible to a broader patient base. With a network of offices across the United States, including the location in Arlington, VA, they aim to serve communities by providing a reliable and responsive solution for urgent dental problems, helping thousands of people achieve relief and maintain their oral health. I wanted to give it a 1, but I gave it 2 because I didn't actually get any service from them. I went in since they said they offer emergency/walk-ins from 9AM to 9PM. I get there a little after 12:00PM and the door is locked, which confused me. I knocked and a lady peeked her head out from the front desk area, then took her time to get to the door. The conversation then went like this: Her: *opens door* Yeah? Me: Are you guys. .

. closed? Her: Yeah Me: Oh [[thinking maybe it's because of lunch]], okay, what time do you open? Her: 6 Me: 6? It says online that you're open from 9AM to 9PM. . . ? Her: No *closes door**walks away* So. .

. yeah. Didn't get any services, but it wasn't for lack of trying. If you're looking for emergency or walk-in service, don't come here. **EDIT: The women who answer the phones are EXTREMELY professional, helpful, and kind (shout out to Alondra & Jasmine), which made the experience I had in person feel worse than it probably would have otherwise, due to the contrast.

My husband was having severe teeth pain. We called and they scheduled an appointment for us at 4pm later in the day. We called again later, at around 3pm, to ask if we could come in earlier because we were in the area anyway. They said they could get us in if we got there in 5 mins, which we did. The front desk employee then said there were 5 people ahead of us and that it would be a 2-hour wait.

She said she didn't know why the "call center" employee told us we can be seen right away. So not only was that a lie, it would also have been impossible for them to honor our initial 4pm appointment anyway. Not sure what system they have for scheduling but it is ridiculously inefficient and frankly deceptive. We ended up leaving.

Went in on easter Sunday. I have a tooth i thought could not be fixed and had to be extracted. Was told it could be saved. Everyone was very nice and explained everything and all my options. Prices were pretty high, but it was an emergency visit on easter Sunday.

I decided to deal with the pain and wait and see my dentist whom I'm in a dental program with. Had they told me my tooth could not be saved I would've had them remove it. But I believe I get a 40/50%discount at my dentist for root canals and crowns I decided to wait. I would not hesitate to come back here in an emergency situation.

The dentist herself was lovely, but my experience as a customer was bad and made me feel unsafe about the office’s standards of care. I had an evening appointment on a Saturday. I was not given instructions in advance (either in my confirmation email or findable on the website) on how to enter the building, which was closed off. I called the number here, and the helpful person took down my number to have the receptionist at this location call me within a few minutes with instructions. I waited for 5 minutes. I called back and luckily a delivery person was coming.

I came inside with them when someone inside the building came to let them in. Of course that someone was the receptionist, who did not acknowledge that I’d been waiting outside with no way to enter nor that she had even gotten a message that a patient was outside! She then neglected to check me in after I signed in and used the restroom. She asked questions that meant she clearly had not seen my note submitting why I was seeking an appointment (“wait, so you’ve already had the extraction?”) that might significantly impact what the dentist knew to do with other patients who assume they only need to state the problem once, when they submit the form. There were also multiple patients scheduled for the 7:30 slot (there were only 3 appointment times listed, morning, afternoon, and evening, but goodness knows how many patients for each time). Additionally, it turned out that the receptionist was also the assistant who did my x-rays. At the very least, the office is short staffed (with her doubling up roles) and that makes me mistrust their ability to have quality care.

I did a limited exam for $99 to ensure I didn’t have a more serious problem. Thankfully, the dentist had a good hunch and was able to give me antibiotics prescription for antibiotics. I am feeling better after starting them, but am grateful I didn’t have a larger issue.
