Similar to another review here, my root canal was not done properly in the first place. I had a periapical abscess that doctor Risser did not drain. As a result, the root canal was not effective and I required another surgery. I see there's a virtually identical post about a similar thing happening. I too had to go back and get a second procedure done, through the gum. That is not how one does a root canal with a periapical abscess.
And while I'm not a dentist, I am a medical doctor and I know just a little bit about infections. I guess I should've insisted that he drain the abscess/pack it while doing the root canal, but that's not my business. He also seems like an assembly line type medical professional, and often times those types do not give the best service. Would not recommend him.

I've been experiencing a moderate to severe toothache for about five weeks. . . due to insurance and a billing issue, I saw two dentists and another endodontist before finally coming to Dr. Risser.
Needless to say, by the time I got to him, I was feeling a bit frustrated at ever getting relief. He and his hygienist came in and did a comprehensive evaluation - multiple tests and x-rays, before diagnosis. Proceeded to finally do my root canal with the only discomfort coming from the numbing process. Both were so friendly and concerned with how I was doing throughout the entire procedure. And I am so thankful to finally feel better! Thank you so much to the entire staff!

Dr Risser is great no pain and very good The billing is a mess. 2 years ago when covid was around I had a double root canal. They charged me 20 more for ppe not covered by insurance. They never called my insurance to validate co pay. It was to be 500. They said it was 1,000 and I needed to pay that day. I put on a credit card went home called insurance and they verified 500 for both.
I called back to have them reverse payment and charge correct amount it was the same day. They refused and said when it processed I would get a refund. Needless to say they were paid in 30 days and I had to call all they time to get my money. Refused to credit my card said I had to wait for a check. 6 months later I got 480 back. The was minus the 20 for the office taking extra precautions during covid. Went to get a root canal last month.
I knew it would be 250 they said 253 for root canal. I paid it was only 3 more. It was covered from my insurance at 250 only out of pocket cost. I then got a bill for 17 dollars saying balance due to them. They could not explain and said they would refund me 3 dollars. Been over month still waiting for check.

They lack integrity. The staff has yet to file a claim or follow up on the insurance claim (?) with my insurance company two months after the procedure, but I have paid them in full via credit card. Mark out and avoid!
