Had a root canal done today on a rear molar. And all I can say is Dr. Blackburn and his assistant were amazing. Even the front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. Im a big guy, but still have anxiety when getting dental work done. But they made me feel comfortable the whole time, and kept me updated along the way.

I wish he was my regular Dentist. Will definitely be back for future work that needs to be done. Thanks guys, yall rock. C. G.

Most bad reviews are directed at the front desk staff and my experience was the same. Strange that the practice wouldn't do anything about this over the past years and I guess that tells you something too. My wife had severe inflammation and feared a developing abscess and she is an established patient. We were given an appointment 11 weeks out and when explained the urgency, we were told that "all of our patients are like this".

I get that doctors are busy everywhere but needs to be some triage and helping patients in need in a place like Evansville where there are no other urgent services. Should at least relay information to the doctors when something urgent in case they would care more after hearing this and triage. We found another place where there was more empathy in the office staff and physicians and were seen and taken care of the same day

A quick look at the other reviews here and it seems very consistent - Dr. Blackburn spends about 30 seconds total doing his "consult" then speeds through some info, annoyed at having to do so, and rushes out without any further acknowledgment. He didn't even look at the right tooth, but left too quickly for me to even ask about that. The front desk staff was so extremely rude also - from the moment I called to make an appointment, it was like I was a hassle for her.

I was visibly upset when I left the office after the poor experience and no one there cared one bit, other than to collect their $140 fee. I would recommend going literally anywhere else but here.
