A few things. Dr. Choi is not an orthodontist and therefore shouldn't be recommending procedures to correct a bite issue. I went for a second opinion and was told to get an orthodontist appointment. Which I did. Secondly, I have a lot of anxiety going to the dentist since I have areas that are painful when getting a cleaning. I disclosed this to Dr. Choi and he personally told me that he would numb the area before cleaning. Instead of doing what he told me on the phone before the appointment, he said that I didn't need the numbing and everything would be okay.

I was tense the whole time, at the end it was not a good cleaning at all. This does not install trust or confidence when a doctor does not follow through with what was agreed upon. Lastly, Dr. Choi can be a bit condescending. He should work on that. Time will tell if the work Dr. Choi did do on me was the best thing for me or him.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give 6 stars, I would — one for each tooth I used to dread having cleaned. Today, I finally caved and went to EverSmile Dentistry in Sterling, Virginia after my wife (who's been going there for years) gently suggested — for the 347th time — that I give them a shot. Now, I’m not saying she was right… but yeah, she was absolutely right. From the moment I walked in, Dora at the front desk made me feel like I wasn’t just another name on a clipboard. She was warm, efficient, and funny — like the kind of person who could make a tax audit feel less painful. Jessica, Dr. Choi’s assistant, is an absolute pro. She prepped everything with skill and made the whole process feel relaxed and smooth.

No stress, no awkward moments — just good vibes and top-tier care. And then… there’s Dr. Eddie Choi — the man, the myth, the molar whisperer. This guy isn’t just a dentist — he’s like the Zen master of oral care. Kind, calm, clear, and (most importantly) painless. He walked me through my dental needs in detail, without making me feel like I was being judged for every Kit Kat I’ve eaten since 1983. The cleaning and x-rays? A breeze. I’ve had deeper conversations with my cats.

EverSmile is a rare find — a team that’s professional, kind, and actually fun to visit. If you’re the kind of person who usually only sees the dentist when something breaks or bleeds (guilty), give Dr. Choi and his team a shot. You’ll walk out smiling — and not just because your teeth are cleaner than a boot camp barracks inspection. Thanks, EverSmile — you’ve got a new fan.
