Before and during my wisdom teeth removal, Dr. Katherine Fischer took the time to explain every procedure she was doing. With her new state of the art tools I was confident and was in&out within 15mins. She listens to her patients and is a natural surgeon. Though I live Reston, 40 minutes away from her office, it's worth the visit.
I am glad to know Dr. Fisher and her staff. Very clean office and well architecture as well.

I've been going to Fischer Dentistry since I was a kid, and while I don't love cleanings, they make them as painless as possible. Both Mr. and Mrs. Dr.
Fischer are friendly, gentle and extremely knowledgeable. The hygienists do a great job, and the front desk staff are helpful and kind. Even though I moved to Reston in 2014, I have continued to make the hike to Centreville because I love their practice so much.

Not good . . . Please read all I am new to the area and found this dentist through research online. I went in and everyone was professional. There was some confusion about if I could take any x-rays yet since my insurance only covers so many a year. I did the cleaning and they put florid on my teeth, which I just assumed was part of the cleaning, but I am a little concerned this may not be covered my insurance since I have never had a dentist put on my teeth since I was a child, but I will deal with that. (Though I feel this should be explained and expectations should be very clear with matter like this. ) The dentist came in and discussed a few things like getting a mouth guard, and a root canal which I had seem two specialist already and neither on of them thought that this was the best route for this issue with a tooth I have had concerns about for a few years.
I had a mouth guard once and it was awful, so I was not going to do that again either. But I did not think much of that because he talked about things I would think were important to go over. Then I ended up getting my x-rays right before I was going to leave. I believe the dentist was with another patient so I was told he would look at them and get back to me. The office called and told me I had two cavities. I have had very little cavities my whole life and not one for over six years. I go to the dentist regularly, take good care of my teeth, and my old dentist never showed concerned about an area that need to be taking extra care of or it would become cavity. I ended up getting a second opinion for my own peace of mind and when I called Fischer's office to ask them to send the x-rays to the other dentist the receptionist was very short with me and talked to me in a very condescending way. I explained to her I needed to do this for my own peace of mind, and that I have had a dentist experience where they told me I had a cavity and I did not.
I am a new client, I have no relationship with this office at this time, I was not referred by anyone, I am paying customer, and I have every right to protect myself. It made me feel like if the office really cared about my comfort and to have me as a long lasting patient, they would have been more of a concern about making me feel assured, and not become so difficult and short. My intentions were not personal in anyway and I hope others have had a better experience then me. I really just want this to be known, because for me this was one of my biggest fears with finding a new dentist. The second opinion (by another dentist) came back that she did not see anything. Her office tried speaking with Fischer's office to confirm where they saw the cavities because they did state that the images were a little blurry, but the office refused to speak to them about anything.

I have a fear of dentists and do not like changing a dentist once i have become comfortable with their work. However, i was brave enough to make such a change about 15 years ago and I couldn't be happier with the treatment I have received from the Doctors' Fischer. As a youngster I was on a medication that affected the enamel on my teeth. I was told by my early adult hood dentist that I would probably have false teeth by the age of 30. Thanks to Dr Curt and Dr. Kathy Fischer that has not been the case.
They have made every effort to save my natural teeth . Having experienced crowns, and root canals over the past years I am well familiar with the procedures. The Doctors F. make every effort to make the procedures comfortable and do so with a very caring attitude. Additionally their office staff is warm and welcoming, and they make every effort to accommodate scheduling and financing when extensive work is required.
