Maybe was one of his off days or because the V. A. was paying my bill. Walked in the room did not introduce himself and everything he said he directed at the nurse and she relayed it to me sitting right beside him. Got up told me I had 6 pieces of teeth to come out in his arrogant way. Walked out of the room and I was referred to another Dentist. Could have been because I told him I was disabled Veteran discharged with PTSD and may need a little something to help me relax through the procedure because I can’t sit long and hate closed rooms. Mind you I never drink or do drugs. He said we don’t use that stuff here and walked out.

Thank God I was referred to someone else. I was approved for him to do my dentures through the V. A. I called the V. A. and informed them I wouldn’t go back if I had to. As far as the staff goes they put their arrogance in check and had good attitudes and were nice. 1/2 there to my new smile thanks to another Dentist.

I can’t thank Dr. Rhodes and his staff enough I am someone that has extreme extreme dental anxiety to where I let my teeth go. I still have a ways to go but I’ll tell you he couldn’t be any more caring when it comes to understanding the anxiety behind everything, he coaches you through it the whole time, regardless of how nervous and scared I was, I’ll always be thankful for the caring kind treatments that I’ve received from him so far and will continue to be going here to get a healthy smile again once again, I can’t thank the staff and Dr.

Rhodes enough.

I would like to share my negative experience with Dr. Jeffery Rhodes Family Dental Care located at 952 Seton Dr # 104, Cumberland, MD. I had been a patient of this dental clinic for a couple of months. I had some concerns about my dental treatment and decided to reach out to Dr. Rhodes through email on his dental practice website to ask some questions. However, instead of addressing my concerns, Dr. Rhodes terminated me from his negligent bullying dental practice sent me two copies of the same letter saying I crossed the line with him, and his staff.

I was shocked and disappointed by this unprofessional behavior. As a patient, I have the right to ask questions and voice my concerns about my dental health without the fear of being terminated from a dental care health practice. This is not how a dental clinic should treat its patients. I would not recommend "Dr. Jeffery Rhodes Family Dental Care" to anyone who values good patient care and communication. It is clear that this dental clinic does not prioritize the needs and concerns of its patients. I urge others to seek dental care elsewhere.

Would also like to note I already found a new dentist, and I'm very happy with them least they understand what this last dentist & team did to me they're going to get me back on my feet and back to good dental health unlike Dr. Jeffery Rhodes Family Dental Care. So, beware of Dr. Jeffery Rhodes Family Dental Care don't say I didn't warn you.

I am deeply disappointed with the recent experience at this dental office due to the unprofessional and rude behavior of the front desk staff regarding appointment confirmations. I confirmed my children's dental appointments well in advance via text and email, as usual. My husband's appointment, scheduled at the same time, was not confirmed according to them. The office called this morning at 12:15 and left a passive-aggressive voicemail stating that if I did not call back within 45 minutes (by 1 pm), my husband and children's appointments would be canceled. They mention them ALL by name. Additionally, they mentioned that we had an outstanding balance that needed to be paid before our visit. I was in a business meeting and exited to address this voicemail. Since I had already confirmed my children's appointments, I called the office to express that AND I didn’t appreciate the passive-aggressive, rude message and continued behavior. I reiterated that my children's appointments were confirmed via text and email. The staff member deflected and asked about my husband's appointment. I explained that they would need to confirm with him directly but he would likely attend because he would be bringing the children. I also clarified that our balances are usually paid at our follow up appointment, using my HSA/FSA card, which has never been an issue previously. Then, suddenly, their system acknowledged the children’s confirmed appointments (without an apology), but stated my husband's appointment had already been rescheduled.

I called at 12:20, prior to their deadline time of 1pm. When I asked why my husband's appointment was cancelled, after I called within the allotted time to confirm, she couldn't provide a valid answer, other than citing again unnecessarily about system issues. Despite calling about their "supposed" unconfirmed appointments, only my husband's appointment was cancelled immediately due to the alleged lack of confirmation. I called within their deadline to NOT cause cancellation and had already previously confirmed our children’s appointments. “Technically”, only my husband needed the confirmation. I then asked to make the payment now, over the phone only to encounter further frustrations with the staff. Despite my repeated statements that I am ready to pay now, the staff continued to ask if I was ready to make the payment… all while they were not ready to process it. This was unnecessary badgering. With my card ready in hand, I asked if she was ready to receive the card number. She stated she was "had to wait on her system to open. " You mean you actually were not ready to receive my payment? This passive-aggressive, narcissistic behavior continued throughout the call. After providing my card information, I asked for confirmation that the balance clearing. After confirming the payment, I expressed my intent to cancel our appointments and was abruptly hung up on.

I called back to confirm the cancellations because, at this point, the office seemed untrustworthy, and I did not want to receive a random "missed appointment" bill due to their negligence or spitefulness. They did not answer the phone, so I left a message stating that the front desk staff's behavior is the reason we are leaving the practice and asked them to cancel both of my children's appointments for tomorrow. Despite our positive relationship with Dr. Rhodes, we will not be returning due to the unprofessional, rude, and passive-aggressive behavior the staff. We have always been respectful to the staff, and Dr. Rhodes, so the behavior we experienced was unnecessary and unacceptable. Additionally, we have always been timely with our payments, using my private insurance through my employer and HSA/FSA cards. I am appalled that a professional office can behave so poorly. If you're looking for a dental office that values patient relationships, provides consistent interactions, and offers excellent customer service, I recommend looking elsewhere. It is saddening that we have to end our relationship due to the unethical behavior of their staff.
