I really really loved this dentist. Their work was fantastic. I was super appreciative of their time and work when I left my past dentist. I fully planned on this being my dentist going forward and my husband was planning to also come here but then I got pregnant. Now it is very much standard practice for a dentist not to do X-rays or any numbing medication or anything on a pregnant woman until she has authorization from her doctor. My doctor would not give authorization until my first appointment which is still a week from today. Two Fridays ago I thought I had a filling pop out and was freaking out because I already have gotten 3 root canals in the last year, and didn’t want an open filling for 3 weeks to turn into a fourth.

I also was scared for baby’s health if it were to get infected and it was starting to hurt. The office wouldn’t even let me come in to take a look (without xray or numbing anything). I spent an entire day calling between the doctor to try to get the form early and this dentist trying to get them to just help me. They suggested temporary filling from a drug store, but for 1 it had an ingredient which isn’t great for pregnant women (plus it’s only supposed to stay in your mouth for 48 hours and this would probably be in there 3-4 weeks) and 2 as I told them it was in between teeth and I couldn’t even tell where the filling fell out, so I couldn’t really patch it even if I did feel like risking it in my mouth. Between calling all day with these two doctors, pregnancy hormones, and just being a very anxious person, I started crying. I was overwhelmed. The receptionist yelled at me to stop crying and when I apologized and said I just was hyped up on pregnancy hormones she told me she was a mom herself and this was silly and I needed to stop crying.

Besides having my feelings hurt and just feeling stupid, I finally got a really kind dentist in Canton GA to see me. They looked at the filling and were actually able to tell me the filling just chipped, but the tooth itself still was fully covered in the filling. We plan to fix the chip in the second trimester so food stops getting caught (which is what was causing the pain), but at least now I didn’t spend the last two weeks and this next week anxious ridden (which is dangerous to baby). I just wish this dentist could have provided this kindness to me, but most of all I wish I didn’t feel so degraded over the phone. I cannot return to this doctor because I feel embarrassed and hurt, which is a shame because they truly do great work.

I have been going here for years. Dr. Bolden is excellent for dental work. This past week was my best cleaning visit ever. Least messy and super clean teeth. Thanks Shams.

I have been going to family dental practice ever since doctor. Bolden opened her doors. I love her personally, and I respect her totally as a dental professional. Through the years I have had several issues and she knew exactly how to take care of it and what specialist to refer me. I will keep going to her for my dental needs, and I hope she never retires!

I appreciate the entire team, the front desk staff were amazing. Kay the dental hygienist assistant, Diana the dental hygienist and Dr. Bolden were phenomenal. It was my first time receiving a numbing gel for my cleaning. It put me at ease. I highly recommend them.
