Receptionist staff are always rude, dr. Sentara “missed” a cavities I had on a tooth, completed my fill there and the tooth now needs yet another fill because it wasn’t filled properly. They made excuses for this left and right.
Ask to switch dentist and they’ll tell you they won’t let you do that because their availability is very tight. You got a tooth that hurts and need to have a full done asap? Nope they’ll tell you, you can go to an emergency exam to get told what you need but that because of time they probably can’t do the fill, so try to make it to the time slot they give you and if you get an infection by that time then you’ll need antibiotics and then they’ll probably tell you, you need to get it taken care of else where by that point. This place is a joke.
1000% avoid this place at all costs if you want to feel properly taken care of. On top of it all I am late in my pregnancy so there’s no consideration in their end for the risks of a tooth infection during pregnancy.

I left this place for multiple reasons. First, the office staff are unfriendly and rude. I mentioned it multiple times and the behavior continued with the same people. I honestly think they are racist because I have seen the same negative attitude and rudeness directed at other whites when I listen to their interactions in the waiting room. If you are not white, they do a total 180 and they are nice and friendly all of a sudden. That's racist behavior.
When I chose to leave because they would not accommodate early appointments before 9AM any longer, Michelle argued with me that I never had an appointment before 9A. I had many at 8:15AM since 2017 when I started going there. Then when I switched to a different doctor, they refused my refills when I was in-between doctors. I had to call another Family First office to get a refill on a medication that I need to take daily. They immediately shut down the web portal so I would be unable to communicate with my doctor about said refill. I hope this place shuts down because they are failing in every aspect of patient care.
I took this review from one star to two stars because Samantha Henry was the only saving grace at this total dump. She was a great doctor or nurser practitioner, can't recall her acronyms. . . so she saved this from being a 1-star review.

Dr. Fernandes Is the best doctor I ever encountered. She is extremely committed to her patients and insures their health is number one. She’s always prepared for your visit, including your most recent blood work, visits with other doctors, etc. She has an amazing bedside manner and is so incredibly caring. I would never see another primary care doctor besides her ever again.
Even if I was forced to pay out-of-pocket, I would somehow make it work so I would be to see her. I promise you that you will never meet another physician like her in your life. And you will never be cared for any better than her. EVER.

The receptionist staff is always rude and does not care about the problems you have, and even if those problems were because of the dentist. I’m a regular patient there, I have to wait over 30 days to get an appointment for a mistake Dr Santerra (idk if that’s how it’s spelled) made. She always seems like she’s in a rush, There is always multiple people doing things inside my mouth. I had an appointment for a regular visit plus, she was supposed to fix the filling that fell out of my mouth that she did And when I told her this, she said she was going to, but never did. I had a tooth that was on the verge of being too far gone for a regular dentist and she knew that so instead she started to work on other easy things to fix in my mouth instead of the most important teeth to be fixed.
Now I have to go to a surgical center after already having to get a tooth pulled bc the waited to long to fix it, to get a different tooth fixed. Their work is messy and rushed every single visit I’ve ever had. I left with ragged edges on my tooth and could barely put floss in between them. If I wasn’t on medical assistance, I would go somewhere else and I would’ve gone somewhere else a long time ago. I feel like they know this, they don’t care as long as they’re making their money.
I’m surprised they haven’t gotten sued yet. That is going to be my next step.
