Been seeing Dr. Shaner for over 5 years not an issue until recently. Unprofessional and Rude. Also Thinks antibiotics can fix any issue instead of looking and figuring out where the pain is actually coming from. Would not recommend.

Terrible experiences for my family with this dentist - charged outrageous amounts for work that would normally cost 1/4th of what he wants, only did half the the work, wouldn't work with patients for a payment plan, and won't stand by his work if it breaks. His work is shotty at best, downright awful at worst, and tries to wring as much money out of you while ruining your teeth further. Doesn't help he keeps going on & on during appointments about paying for his houses in the city, his kids college education, and his boat - so you know he's just taking you for a ride to pay for his extravagant expenses.
I would give him zero stars if that were an option, just from what he's done to my family.

I went to see dr Shaner for my front tooth and back tooth hurting and visibly decayed. He fixed my front tooth up, but never polished his work so it’s very rough, and nicked my front tooth and it is slightly chipped. He never said a word about doing it either, he actually never said a word, did not introduce himself, did not explain procedures (even when asked), not a word. He never asked me questions about my pain, my dental history, how i brush. He came in laid my chair back and started numbing and drilling.
I’ve had 3 appointments with him each time was the same thing. I went to see a new dentist and they find 3 other cavities that are just as bad or almost as bad as the tooth I now have to have cut out over his negligence to explain anything or ask me any questions AT ALL. Do not recommend unless you don’t care about your teeth.
