Detailed Introduction

Finger Lakes Endodontics is a dedicated dental practice located at 964 College Ave, Elmira, NY 14901, specializing exclusively in endodontic care. The clinic serves as a referral center for complex cases, working closely with general dentists to ensure comprehensive patient treatment. The expert team, led by respected endodontic specialists Dr. Karpinski and Dr. Serebro, includes an experienced endodontic staff committed to providing the highest standard of professional care in a friendly and comfortable environment. Endodontics is the branch of dentistry concerned with the study and treatment of the Dental Pulp, the soft tissue inside the tooth that contains nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue. Endodontists are dentists who have completed two or more years of advanced training beyond dental school, focusing on diagnosing and treating complex issues related to the tooth pulp and roots. Finger Lakes Endodontics offers a range of specialized services aimed at saving natural teeth. Their primary procedures include: Root Canal Treatment (Endodontic Therapy): This is the most common endodontic procedure, performed to remove inflamed or infected pulp from inside a tooth, clean and disinfect the canals, and then fill and seal them to prevent further infection. This procedure is crucial for saving teeth that would otherwise require extraction due to deep cavities, fractures, repeated dental treatments, or injuries. Endodontic Surgery (e.g., Apicoectomy): When conventional root canal treatment is not sufficient to heal a tooth or surrounding tissues, an apicoectomy may be performed. This surgical procedure involves opening the gum tissue, removing any inflamed or infected tissue, and excising the very tip of the tooth root, which is then sealed with a biocompatible material. Treatment for Cracked Teeth: The clinic addresses various types of cracked teeth, assessing the severity and recommending appropriate treatment to prevent further damage and potential tooth loss. Management of Dental Trauma: Finger Lakes Endodontics provides specialized care for teeth that have suffered traumatic injuries, such as avulsed (knocked out) teeth, fractured teeth, or luxated (displaced) teeth, with the goal of preserving the natural tooth whenever possible. The clinic emphasizes patient comfort and utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to ensure efficient and safe procedures. They prioritize clear communication, providing upfront cost information and assisting with dental insurance claims. Patients are encouraged to bring headphones and music for a more relaxed experience, and dental sedation options are available for those with dental anxiety. Finger Lakes Endodontics is dedicated to preserving natural smiles, allowing patients to continue enjoying their favorite foods and maintaining overall oral health.

Very unprofessional service. Doctor may be ok !… twice my appointment for a follow up was cancelled . .

first cancellation on the day of appointment. Second cancellation two days before the appointment… it is almost impossible to get an appointment for atleast 2 months … when one makes an effort to book a vacation to attend this appointment for it to be cancelled on the day or day before it is rude and unprofessional…since they got all the money I need to pay for the Root Canal therapy already and no money to be made on the follow up they choose to cancel the appointment on the last minute … I hope not to meet this unprofessional team again

Dr. Gartenberg and his staff were very friendly and professional. They got me in fairly quickly, even though I was a new patient. He explained everything very well and the procedure went very well. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

I had a Root Canal done, and it broke the next day. . when I called they said to call my denist. I went to my denist and they fixed it. Then while they fixed it- they realized he was so aggresive with the root canal he cracked my tooth. . I paid out of pocket 1500. 00 for the root canal.

. . NOW I have to have the tooth pulled at MY dentist's office and have an implant put in, for another 2900. 00. . . . I wouldn't step foot back in this office!

Root canals are not pleasant, but the doctor was wonderful. Only thing I didn't like is that I had to pay for entire procedure and then submit the information to my insurance. Just easier when the office does that. Would go back again if I ever needed to.
