First Avenue family dentistry lives up to its name—this place feels like an extension of our family. We’ve been patients for 4 years, and it’s been a game-changer for our busy household. The office is bright and welcoming, with a kid-friendly corner that keeps my 6-year-old occupied while we wait. Dr. Patel is amazing with both kids and adults; she turned my son’s fear of dentists into excitement (he now asks for “the tooth doctor with the sparkly tools”).

Her work on my husband’s dental bridge is seamless, and my routine cleanings are always thorough yet gentle. The staff is quick to accommodate last-minute appointments (like when my daughter bit her tongue) and handles insurance effortlessly. They offer evening hours, which fit our work schedules perfectly. A dental home we truly trust.

After retiring, hubby & I moved to St. Thomas and found myself needing a dentist as I lost a filling. First Avenue Family Dentist was able to get me in the same day. Dr. Patel & Team were amazing and helped me feel comfortable and made sure I was not feeling any pain.

It was hard to switch to a new Dentist after having the same one for 30 years, so glad I found Dr. Patel and staff as they treated me like I've been a patient of theirs for years. Thank you again for understanding my anxiety, making me feel comfortable and getting me in quick. You all were amazing!

Just had my first experience with this clinic. My partner has a horrible tooth ache. They fit her in within 12 hrs and even squeezed in an appointment for me. They were kind and gentle. They do direct billing for insurance and CDCP so that was perfect as this has always been a variety for myself and many others to come up with the cash and wait for reimbursement.

They did full X-rays and after going through some issues I know my teeth were not in great shape but there was no judgement at all. All of the staff were amazing and they offer two services to deal with high anxieties, laughing has and a medication. Thanks to that I have now booked my first cleaning in four years and am hopeful to smile confidently again and get my oak health back on track. This is a long review but felt they deserved it!
