I took my 14 month old for his first dental visit. The whole experience from start to finish was wonderful. Making an appointment was a breeze. The receptionist answered all my questions and sent the forms via email prior to the appointment (to avoid filling things out with a busy toddler at the actual appointment). Dr.

Amanda had a lovely disposition with my son and I left confident with knowing more about how to get into a strong routine for his dental care. The office is beautiful and feels very welcoming. We are looking forward to continuing our dental journey there with our son for years to come.

I can’t say enough great things about Floss Academy. Dr. Deric is incredibly kind, warm, and upbeat—he truly puts both parents and kids at ease. Everyone in the office is so welcoming, and I especially love how the hygienist, Quianna, takes the time to explain every step of the process. One of the best parts is that parents are welcome to stay with their child at all times—something that really sets this practice apart from others in the West Loop.

What’s more, my middle school–aged daughter actually looks forward to her dental visits! It’s not just “parent approved” here—kids genuinely love it, too. The office itself is bright, sparkling clean, and has such an inviting atmosphere. Plenty of paid street parking. If you’re even slightly unhappy with your current provider, I highly recommend giving Floss Academy a try.

I cannot speak more highly of Dr Amanda and Dr Deric. They are the perfect balance for the kids - super sweet but also help educate. We have had a number of teeth missteps (oops!), but Dr Amanda and Dr Deric have been a great resource - they collaborate with each other and lay out all options for you to make the best informed decision.

They have been a great resource for us as parents and always keep the child’s best interests in mind. Plus the space is brand new and gorgeous. So if you are looking for a new pediatric dentist or aren’t completely in love with your current one, I would give Floss Academy a call - there’s nobody better! Plus my kids are so excited to go to the dentist now and even try to schedule their own appointments!

From the moment we walked in to the minute we left the staff was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. The place is immaculate and the patient's room that we were in was spacious. It was 3 adults plus a toddler and we had plenty of space to move around and be comfortable. They made Jones' first appointment a great experience. Dr.

Amanda helped Jones feel at ease by patiently showing him the process and tools dentists use. She even sang a little song for him to help with the anxiety most of us get when visiting the dentist. We were all impressed with this location and we look forward to coming back. Thank you Floss Academy!
