Besides being extremely difficult to get on the phone, this office refuses to ask for pre-authorization from insurance companies (even when the insurance co. would be willing to pay for the procedure).

My work required pre-authorization, my insurance was willing to approve the work, all they needed was for this office to submit a request for pre authorization, but the office refused to do this, so I couldn't get the work done and months of waiting for appointments turned out to be for nothing.

For a dental clinic under the NY Presbyterian system, it's well hidden! How it's remained operational, I do not know (that NYP money tho). It's an institution either way. Shout outs to Dr. Spicer who I've been seeing since I was a kid along with Phyllis, the dental assistant and Dr. Montalvo, the hygenist. The former two are like family to me. And Dr. Montalvo is professional; not quite as chatty as Dr. Spicer. But she's damn good at what she does.

Dr. Spicer is great and stern; I will miss him dearly the day he retires and/or leaves the clinic. The staff is friendly and the bathroom is quite clean. I can't complain since it's a chill clinic that's never crowded. But maybe it's because it mostly serves older patients. Plus all the dental equipment is high tech and modern. I have never had a bad experience there. It's nice not being in a waiting room full of screaming children and/or obnoxious teens as parents try to get be patient.

What can I say about this practice? Nothing short of amazing ! I have been coming here for years and let me just say that Jazmine, Jill, Jane and Dr.

Crawford are the most friendliest, patient, helpful team that I have ever met!! Everything from the check in point with Jazmine to being seen by the doctor and/or hygienist you are guaranteed a good experience and a great smile to go along with it !! Thank you ladies so much for all that you do 🩷
