Only go here if you are very specifically looking for trouble. I went there with an assumption that I was going to build a nice trusting relationship with my new dentist. Much to my surprise as a new patient the receptionist started commenting on getting an insurance policy more suitable for major dentistry work, I thought it was weird and explained to her that I just go to the dentist for a cleaning twice a year and no major work is needed. She sort of looked at me like that was about to change. As I was walking in they was discussing my "cavities" with me before I made it to the exam chair. The exam was no good, and the cleaning was unsatisfactory. After the exam they confirmed these untrue cavities and was trying to get me scheduled for fillings.

Some people might think of this kind of practice as fraud. The dentist told me one or two cavities while the disasterous billing lady later called to get me scheduled for four or five fillings. It was like they just couldn't make up their mind how much damage they wanted to do to my work schedule, mouth, and wallet. Before any of this during the exam, I had decided based on how the exam went there was no way was I going to let anyone in this practice do any drilling or mouth altering procedures under any circumstances. Being the diplomatic person that I am I went ahead and paid them in full for this COMPLETELY unacceptable service knowing that I would never come back. So I go and spend even more money and get a second exam and diagnosis, and the other dentist confirmed my suspicion to be true about this Franklin Family Dentistry. But they didn't stop there, later they reach out to me wanting me to pay them an additional $120, and literally turned me into collections over this.

Now when I say paid in full, I have insurance, and paid them close to a hundred dollars in addition to my insurance money before leaving. They are also narcissitic and incapable of being wrong. I nicely questioned them on two different occasions about these cavities they made up about me, and the billing. That same disasterous billing lady was 100% sure that everything was accurate. I have had a lot of exams under this same dental plan, and never had to pay that much money.

My previous dentist always tried to upsell things. I felt like a dollar sign instead of a person. Recently I had the worst toothache. I found Franklin Family Dentistry, they are amazing from the start. The staff was able to see me that morning, found the problem came up with a treatment plan.

During the procedure the staff's number 1 priority was me. They explained the procedure, made sure I remained pain free the whole time. The post op instructions were super easy to understand. Highly recommend Franklin Family Dentistry, you are treated like a person, not a dollar sign.

Maybe I was unlucky because I had a later appointment. Dr. Schumacher was very pleasant and my hygienist was willing to explain things to me, however there were things about my overall experience that were red flags. The building has this strange off-putting smell, the x-ray machine in my room was broken, stains on the ceiling.

With previous dentists they were able to remove coffee stains with the usual mildly unpleasant but tolerable drills but here they wanted to use a frequency drill that was so unbelievably painful I fully thought I would vomit on my poor hygienist. I have had coffee stains treated at other places and never used anything like that. Additionally, my hygienist had me suction my own mouth because "we don't have an assistant today". Nobody to check me in at the front desk.

When I checked out the lady at the desk scheduled me for a follow-up despite me saying several times I wouldn't like to schedule one yet as I have a busy schedule, and she schedules it anyways. The online portal doesn't allow you to cancel, only CONFIRM, so I call them and I still dont know if they actually cancelled my appointment because the person on the other side just said "I'll make a note". This is pretty wild as if you just decide not to show up, you get charged for it! Thats so shady!!
