I have been going to Rush dental in Maple Lawn for several years now. Today's service was a shocker. Hygienist showed up late to a 7am appt which people take because they have to go to work. Then when I said I needed to be out of there by 8am, the cleaning lasted 10 minutes. She took my X-rays, the doctor came in and didn't even look at my mouth, but told me I needed 2 crowns - $2300 please and asked me if I floss! I floss religiously, but then the Dr. would have known that if she had taken a look at my mouth.

After telling me I needed two crowns, she finally looked at my mouth for all of 10 seconds. So disappointed. So angry that my insurance will pay $250 for that service. Of course, I don't trust the diagnosis and will have to take the time to get a second opinion.

This place is a circus. Tried doing ortho here and still sorting it out. They over-ground one of my teeth, so my smile looks off. Just showed up to an appointment that they never actually scheduled me for and now I get to take more time off work so I can get even more trays in hopes that my teeth will finally come together, and I can fully close my mouth. Never before have a gone into a dentist office and repeatedly come out with a mouth worse than when I went in.

I guess that makes me the biggest clown, because I keep thinking they have the competence to fix what they started. It is my conclusion that people who like this place have simply never been to a great dentist. Everything at fresh is shiny, new, and fancy, but it's all just looks.

I was referred to Fresh Dental Group by a trusted friend and had high hopes after my first cleaning in September 2024. My hygienist, Ms. Seema, was phenomenal, and I genuinely thought I had found my new dental home. I returned in January 2025 for another cleaning and was once again pleased with the service. However, what followed has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.

I scheduled a whitening appointment for late January, which the office canceled just two days prior—without providing a clear explanation. I rescheduled, but due to travel, I had to cancel and push it back. When I tried to reschedule again, communication with the office became inconsistent, and another appointment was canceled on their end. Today marked the fourth attempt. I traveled over an hour from Washington, DC (as Saturdays are the only day I’m available), called ahead to inform them I’d be about 15 minutes late due to traffic—which they acknowledged was fine—only to be turned away upon arrival.

I was told the main dentist was unavailable due to a crown procedure and that no one else could assist me. If your office knows Saturdays are in high demand and patients are traveling from far away, why not staff appropriately or better manage your schedule? I felt disrespected, disregarded, and like my time meant nothing. Unfortunately, after today’s experience, I will not be returning to Fresh Dental Group. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disorganized scheduling process has completely changed my opinion of this practice.

My first experience with Fresh Dental was great. My son and I both had appointments for one of our yearly visits. We were greeted as soon as we arrived and within minutes my son went back for his allotted time. I was called not too long afterwards.

Everyone was very friendly, professional and any questions that we had were answered on the spot. We will definitely be making this office our dental home.
