I drive about an hour to for my dental care with Dr.Cheney. The dental services that I've gotten there is like no others. The staff are always friendly. Shannon and Noel are great assistants and the facility is always helpful. There needs to be more places with staff like these people.

Dr Cheney is the only dentist I will ever go to. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Dr Cheney really cares about his patients and always explains the dentle procedures thoroughly. I have to drive quite a ways, but it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend Dr Cheney and Gentle Dentistry in Spring Park.

I started with Gentle Dentistry since Oct 2021, I had 19 teeth pulled and 8 implants and temporary denture. The whole staff was wonderful especially Shannon and Naomi and Dr Cheney. I found out I have Graves Disease, after I had my 1st failed implant, therefore my bones aren’t very strong especially on uppers, my bottoms are good. I continued to have many more failures, getting more implants, dealing with infections, having my temporaries break in half or lose a front tooth, having to miss a few events.

I have to say Dr Cheney was amazing, he was always there when I needed him and would come in on weekends if I needed anything. I continued on with Gentle Dentistry up to Aug 2023, Dr Cheney informed me he was going to a new dental clinic and focus mainly on restoration of dentures. Dr Cheney told me Gentle Dentistry is going under and he is bailing early, promised me he’d come back to finish me up, or at least at the new office he was going too. He continued to tell me I was #1 priority, told me that nobody within Gentle Dentistry would be able to finish me up.

I trusted and believed Dr Cheney 100%! I just found out he RETIRED! Everything he told me were all lies, I was left without any options, I went and seen Dr Schwartz who Dr Cheney referred me too couldn’t even help me, as of today I am still in my temporaries without a dentist, nobody will finish me unless I’ve started with them or have a referral. Nobody at Gentle Dentistry would return my phone calls, not even the director! I have paid them half of a full mouth of implants $25,000 they did not fulfill the contract, I want my money back so I contacted the Attorney General. I would just like to say DO NOT TRUST EVERYONE YOU MEET EVEN IF THEY SEEM REAL NICE,! Make sure you look at all your options if getting implants.

Poor communication. Completely reliant on temp hygienists which provides zero stability or relationship long term (nor did I gather they cared). Questionable billing and “upsell” behavior - retainers, treatments, etc. Dental chairs, peripherals, and technology are dated…my bib chain was rusty for example. Moved to this practice from West Lakes Dentistry in Mound due to West Lakes dropping Cigna insurance, but will definitely not be returning to Gentle Dentistry after two visits.

They conveniently decided to cancel my third visit as they were “closing temporarily with no know future open date”. Save yourself time and a headache and go find a dental practice that cares. This one certainly doesn’t.
