I rarely leave negative reviews, but the lack of follow-up and accountability at Georgia Orthodontic Studio has been extremely disappointing. We've been trying to get my son properly serviced since **December 16, 2024**, and it has been nothing but a series of excuses and system failures. One day we called, and the **dentist himself answered the phone**, explaining that the receptionist was out due to medical reasons—but **no update was provided on our case**. Another time, we were told there was a delay due to **Amerigroup switching their systems** and the office couldn’t obtain the necessary authorization.
However, when I called **Amerigroup directly**, I was told that **authorization had already been approved**—clearly contradicting their claims. Just today, I tried again to get my son scheduled, and was met with yet another excuse: **"our systems are down. "** This has been the recurring theme—**excuse after excuse, and no resolution. ** For a medical office, especially one serving families and children, **this level of disorganization and poor communication is unacceptable**.
I hope this review helps others know what to expect before trusting this office with their child’s care.

I’m so glad to see all the wonderful reviews about this office but unfortunately I did mot have a positive experience with this office/location. First red flag, we were given an appointment for December 2024. Upon calling a week before the scheduled appointment I discovered that he was never put on the schedule. We then had to take an appointment for January 2025. The day of the appointment we arrived and were told several times BEFORE even taking x rays or scans that the insurance normally doesn’t pay and a young lady proceeded to take me into a room and gave me the payment breakdown. They eventually took my son back for scans and before leaving I asked how long it would be before they contact me with a response from the insurance, I was told two weeks. After more than a month of not hearing from the office I contacted my son’s insurance company first and was told they hadn’t received anything from the office and that there were no issues with the portal to upload information. My next call was to the office and the blame game started. The lady who answered the phone stated she had a folder of about 50 patients with the same insurance that was just sitting there because the portal was down.
As a mother I was absolutely outraged and I let her know that because it’s not just about my child at this point, it’s about all the other children as well. I was able to get into with a gentleman at one of the other locations and he tried to assist as best that he could but did not want to overstep. Fast forward to yesterday (3/25/25) I called the office around 10:30am and to my surprise the doctor answered the phone. I explained to him all the issues we’ve incurred since our last and only visit. He apologized and blamed the insurance company again then asked for my son’s information. After giving that information he started he did see not an approval…. I was like I’m sorry…. he stayed I’m looking here and I don’t see an approval…. I asked if he could be more specific…he gave the same response…finally I said so you don’t see an approval, do you see anything or do you see a denial…his response was that the insurance denied the claim.
We ended the call and I contacted my son’s insurance company only to discover that the office never submitted any claims, scans, or authorizations on my son’s behalf. So today (3/26/25) I called the office back and of course doctor answered again (very strange) I reminded him of our conversation on yesterday and he told me he was looking at a list and my son was on the “said list”. I expressed my frustration and let Dr. Duval know that I would be taking this to the next level. He cut me off and wanted to take down my information and give me a call later…. . we’ll see if that even happens… Please don’t be fooled by suspicious “this office is great reviews” because I’m sure I’m not the only one this has happened to….

I have enjoyed my experience for the last couple of years. Ms. Lisa always takes great care of me every visit. She’s always so patience and listens to my concerns. She’s also super efficient, preventing me from having any mishaps in between visits.

I brought my son here October 2024 and have been getting the run around since. There was lack of communication and updates provided regarding the status of my claim through my son’s insurance. Supposedly, there were two issues: Medicaid switched their system, and the X-rays they requested from Orthodonic Studio were incomplete. They requested for the photos to be sent again but they never were. My insurance eventually sent me a denial for treatment because of the incomplete pictures.
Months have passed by and after speaking with another receptionist there he attempted to tell me that my claim was denied for another reason despite explaining to him the denial letter I received. Afterwards, he offered to start me on a payment plan to move forward with the process. He said someone would reach out to me to get setup…but do you think anyone did, NO! It’s now April 2025 and I just decided to take my child elsewhere. I do not recommend this place.
