With over 55 years of experience, they have built a reputation for delivering exceptional periodontal care and dental implant solutions to multiple generations of patients and referring general dentists. The practice is committed to utilizing state-of-the-art technology and advanced techniques, ensuring precise diagnoses, minimally invasive treatments, and optimal patient outcomes. Their team of highly skilled periodontists, including Dr. Mark T. Litterer and Dr. Aubrey H. Scher, bring decades of combined experience and specialized training in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting the supporting structures of the teeth, as well as the placement of dental implants. Both doctors are recognized thought leaders in the field, with affiliations in prestigious organizations like the American Academy of Periodontology. Georgia Periodontics offers a comprehensive suite of services tailored to meet diverse patient needs. These include: Periodontal Disease Treatment: Addressing conditions like gingivitis and periodontitis through scaling and root planing (deep cleaning), antibiotic therapy, and advanced laser periodontal treatment (e.g., Waterlase dental laser) for comfortable and effective removal of damaged gum tissue. Dental Implants: Providing long-lasting, natural-looking solutions for missing teeth, including single implants, multiple implants, and full-arch solutions like "New Teeth in One Day." Their expertise in gum and bone health makes them uniquely qualified for implant placement. Surgical Periodontal Treatments: Performing procedures such as gum grafting to address gum recession and exposed tooth roots, bone grafting to restore lost jawbone tissue, and sinus lifts/augmentation to prepare the jaw for implants. Cosmetic Periodontics: Enhancing smiles through procedures like crown lengthening to reveal more tooth structure and gum contouring (gummy smile surgery) to reshape gum tissue for a more aesthetically pleasing gum line. Oral Pathology and Biopsies: Diagnosing and managing oral lesions and abnormalities, including gum biopsies when necessary. Sedation Options: Offering various sedation methods, including laughing gas and in-house IV sedation, to ensure patient comfort and alleviate anxiety during procedures. Georgia Periodontics emphasizes a patient-centered approach, aiming to provide a comfortable experience with personalized care plans. They have multiple convenient locations in Decatur, Peachtree Corners, Duluth, and Dunwoody, making expert periodontal care accessible throughout the region. Every time you call and the call is going on messaging. On Monday 4/10/23 , I called at 8. 05 am and you expect someone to answer the phone and nobody is there to pick up the phone since the clinic timing is at 8 am. Bad business. On April 2023 I had an appointment with Dr Aubrey H. Scher, and there was a problem wit the billing .

The receptionist asked me to pay right upfront and I had to take the matter up with Dr Aubrey H. Scher , Dr Scher the way he talked to me was very rude, unprofessional, outrageous and insulting, not realizing the fact that Ihave been seeing the man for last 12 to 13 years and at least should have given me some credit and much regret to say that it’s all because of bad insurance which was CIGNA. Very painful. It could have been addressed in much better way .

I was there for wisdom tooth surgery and the service was excellent, from the assistant to the doctor they were very friendly and willing to help. His assistant Alex was always with me answering all my questions, they made me feel comfortable and safe.

This business has the worst customer service from the doctor to the assistant and the front desk. Alex, the dental assistant needs to be trained on infection control 101 and customer service 101. When she placed the bite wings on my dad’s teeth, he kept complaining it hurt his gum. I told Alex exactly what my dad said, then she asked me” Do you do X-Ray?” and almost pass the bite wing to me to do it. Hello, I don’t do X Ray but I do know that your skill is terrible and your customer service is horrible . She put gauzes on the dirty table then attempted to put it on my dad’s gum. When I told her don’t do it, she argued “ no , you put it on the table. Let me do my job. ” This woman is beyond rude and unprofessional. Dr. Scher is not better- behaved than his staffs.

Dr. Scher yelled and screamed at my dad when my dad tried to get up to use restroom after my dad woke up from oral surgery. He screamed to me “ your dad needs to go home and rest”. I know it, but how can I leave my mom at the office and drive my dad home, leave him at home by himself? My mom and dad both have procedures at the same day. Dr. Scher said that the office did a favor for me. How is it a favor, sir? If I can’t get the appointment side by side, I would probably have chosen some other better practice than you, understand? Probably bad staffs attract to each other and they all come to this place. So sad! Update: today we had a follow up appointment for my mom. With a usual arrogant attitude, he wanted me to delete the bad review because the small business lives on reviews. He blamed that the office was so busy and overwhelmed, that’s why he yelled at my dad???😳. I replied” so you can take your anger on us?” He immediately turned to more rude tone “ because your dad got up to use restroom and we did a favor for you by scheduling both at the same time.

” 🤔. Never heard him say sorry or admit his rudeness and his unprofessionalism. All he did was blaming the patient because his office was busy. He even has the gut to blame that I always write bad reviews to everyone anyway 🙄. I normally would take down the bad reviews if the practice explains and apologize and reconcile the misunderstanding. However, in this case, I will leave it here for everyone to read before they decide what practice they will use. I hope this review will find it way to the owner of the practice. Maybe he is the co-onwer of the practice 😂. Well, pray for me because we still have some insurance claim with this practice and we still need to get the X-Ray to go to a different practice. I told my General Dentist please do not recommend his practice to anyone.

I've had an amazing experience with Dr Surer and his team. I recently had Gum grafting on both teeth and can't begin to express how comfortable they made me feel and how professional everyone is here. I decided to also have my recent cleaning here and couldn't be happier with their services.
