We had an excellent experience with Dr.Jacob at Georgian Mall Dental Group. The staff is welcoming, and the waiting area is perfect for kids. Dr.Jacob is fantastic with children—gentle, patient, and able to make dental visits fun. My daughter, who used to be anxious, now looks forward to her appointments. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a great pediatric dentist!

Every experience I've had with the Georgian Mall Family Dental Group, has been beyond expectational. From someone who gets nervous easily when it comes to dental, this team/management professionalism is exceptional. Not to mention this is an establishment that can accommodate all your dental needs in one building. 10/10 recommend.

I was referred to Georgian Family Dental by my regular dentist for a procedure under general anesthesia. I was originally quoted around $3,500. When the procedure was done, my husband was presented with a bill for over $4,200 — without any prior notice that the price had increased. Later that evening, we received a phone call asking for an additional $800 for anesthesia they said they forgot to charge, bringing the total to over $5,000+. After reviewing the invoice, I noticed that the number of units of anesthesia charges were exactly as originally quoted. However, the number of procedures done during the time had increased substantially. They had filled multiple areas in my mouth that were never discussed with me — even though we met right before the procedure and the dentist looked in my mouth. They weren’t cavities, just deeper grooves that I had never been told would require work. I never consented to this extra work and had no opportunity to approve it because I was under anesthesia. I was told originally, that the number of units of anesthesia quoted were probably high, that they didn't like to under-quote. I was told to probably expect the anesthesia portion of the bill to be lower. When I raised these concerns with the office manager, and while she was sympathetic to my concerns, she said there was nothing she could do. Only upon my insistence, said she would speak with the dentist, saying he doesn’t like to deal with “money things.
” She came back to me, shortly after and said there was nothing he would do. I doubt she even talked with him. I tried speaking to the dentist directly, and he said he didn’t want to talk about billing — he only wanted to do what was “best for the patient. ” He said, he didn't like to know the cost of each procedure, he just wanted to do the best he could for each patient. I explained that while I could pay the extra amount, it was irresponsible and potentially harmful to assume everyone can afford surprise charges or would want $2,000 in extra procedures without consent. Another issue: my original quote was from September, and my procedure happened in January. Prices had increased in that time, but no one warned me, and they refused to honour the original quote. I could have had the procedures done in December but only opted for January to skip over the holiday rush. For a difference in price, I would have done the procedure in December. The dentist that had originally provided my quote no longer worked at the office. I was only told there was another dentist taking over. Not that there were now higher rates, or that there would be any implication to my bill. To make things worse, I returned for a small adjustment afterward, and during that visit, and the dentist caused nerve pain while sanding a filling down.
When I jumped in pain, he told me there couldn’t be pain because he was pressing on a filling — ignoring that the pressure was affecting a sensitive nerve beneath - the entire reason I opted for sedated dentistry in the first place. I found that dismissive and frustrating. In short: the lack of communication, informed consent, and accountability was incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend this clinic based on my experience. Travel farther if you have to, and steer clear of this place. July 8, 2025 update: The COO of the office reached out after reading my google review. She listened to my concerns and shared her disappointment in my experience. She said they are updating their policy, and clients will now have to sign to allow extras only up to a certain amount. So when you sign saying you approve any incidentals, you will know what you are agreeing to. She is going to provide coaching to the office manager to go to her if there are problems like this in the future (hopefully there won't be). They provided financial compensation for the procedures that were completed that were not part of what was discussed with the dentist ahead of my surgery. While I am not happy I had this experience, I am happy with how it has been resolved.

No one likes going to the dentist. However, I like this place. The staff were super friendly and put my daughter Em at ease. Everyone was highly professional and answered all my rambly questions as a concerned mom. Btw - they were super fast. It’s been a minute since I’ve had my wisdom teeth out….but only a half hour?!? Super impressed!
