Germantown pediatric is an exceptional practice . From the front desk to the hygienist , they are phenomenal. Dr enchandy got very bad bedside manners. She did a pediatric surgery to my 6 years old and did treatment that i did not approve . Prior to surgery, we had a specific treatment plan and after the surgery is done she did treatment that i didnot approve that left my son is excruciating pain .

I She placed a silver crown in his frontal tooth and it was not needed. She did not have the audacity to consult me in taking deciosns when it comes to my sons . Now i am stuck with her treatment because my insurance will not approve another treatment . I believe she did that to gain more money from my insurance. I tried to talk to her she was very rude and not professional.

Please avoid at all cost . My son is in pain, she did work that was not necessary and she doesn't take responsibility that she did treatment to my child with out my authorization because i am the parent . I wish she would have consulted me prior to doing the treatment . I am so hurt and my son will have a horrible smile until he is 10 years old.

Dr. Echandy is rude and unprofessional. She would discuss my kids dental issues in the lobby with all other patients hearing. The kids would later tell me she would criticize their looks (ie. hair length for a boy)....this was during COVID when I couldn't go with them and had to stay in the lobby.

I've brought my daughter to this dentist since she was very young and always felt extremely uncomfortable with Irma Echandy, but I couldn't say why. Nothing happened until our last visit, which came on the heels of us telling her "No" to crowns for our 6 year old daughter - a very expensive procedure that could leave her with severe problems as her face and jaw are still growing, something that Irma could profit from. We opted, under the recommendation of other dentists, to go with ceramic filling for now - a far cheaper and safer alternative. On our last visit, Irma Echandy unexpectedly stabbed my 6 year old daughter in the gums with a numbing needle and showed zero sympathy or concern for the sudden, painful move. I don't know about you, but I've never had a doctor, or dentist, ever put a needle in me without a thorough heads up. She then tried to hold her head still and do it again, but got frustrated and left the room because my daughter wouldn't sit still and stop crying.

Instead of showing any sympathy or acknowledging her mistake when she got back, she told my daughter to "stop crying so I can concentrate. . . you're numb, there's no way you're feeling anything". Then she tried to use the poker/scrapper tool to poke her further and saying, "let me show you, you won't feel anything", to which my daughter pushed her hand away, shrieking in terror. My daughter told me she wanted to leave, so we shut it down.

Irma's response was to snap at me and say, "Well then don't reschedule because she will just do the same thing again, don't come back here". Our daughter is terrified to go to any dentist and we are struggling to convince her to fix her teeth at all now. We fully believe Irma Echandy acted with intent to chase us out of the practice in retaliation for causing her to lose out on a cash-cow patient by refusing to allow her to deform our daughter with an unnecessary and unsafe procedure given her age. We are taking this as far as we can legally and hope to see jail time and the practice shut down. Do not do business here, this lady is a calloused psychopath and a danger to her patients.

We absolutely love our dentist and all the hygienist here! They cater to the kids. They are very thorough and friendly. The kids love the tvs and games while waiting, and picking a prize when they are done. I 10/10 recommend them for your children!!
