Detailed Introduction

Glen Eagle Pediatric dentistry is a dedicated dental practice located at 589 Wilmington West Chester Pike, Glen Mills, PA 19342, specializing in the oral health of children from infancy through adolescence. The clinic is founded on the principle of providing optimal dental care in a friendly, caring, and family-oriented atmosphere, aiming to establish a "dental home" for each child. Their mission emphasizes preventative dental care, educating both patients and parents on maintaining excellent oral hygiene and healthy eating habits. They strongly encourage parents to be present during initial visits to facilitate this educational process. Dr. Marc Virtue, the lead pediatric dentist, is passionate about his specialty, combining scientific knowledge with a compassionate approach to children's dentistry. He holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University and completed his Pediatric Dental Residency in 2017, being a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Services offered by Glen Eagle Pediatric Dentistry cover a wide range of pediatric dental needs. These include: Prevention: Focusing on education for good oral hygiene and healthy diets. Age One Visits: Following recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) for early dental care. Cleanings & Exams: Routine check-ups every six months for maintaining dental health. White fillings: Natural-looking, mercury-free fillings for treating cavities. crowns: Zirconia crowns for front teeth and stainless steel crowns for molars, used for larger cavities. Sealants: Thin coatings applied to permanent molars to prevent decay. Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF): Used to slow down cavity growth, especially for small decay areas or apprehensive children. Special Healthcare Needs: Providing specialized care for infants, children, and teenagers with unique health requirements, focusing on prevention and guidance for caregivers. Emergency Dental Treatment: Addressing urgent dental needs such as trauma, pain, and infections. Nitrous Oxide: Also known as "laughing gas," administered via a breathing mask for anxious patients. The clinic prioritizes creating a positive and comfortable experience for children, understanding that each child is unique and may have individual sensitivities. They strive to build trust and confidence, ensuring pleasant visits that contribute to a lifetime of healthy oral care. X-rays are taken only when necessary, typically starting around age four, to detect decay and assess permanent tooth development. Glen Eagle Pediatric Dentistry is committed to continuous education in modern dental techniques and offers contemporary solutions for various dental treatments.

We went to see Dr. Marc for an emergency appointment with my 8 year old and had never been to the office before. He and his entire staff made my son and I feel comfortable. He shared information and explained every step of the way. He calmed my son and was amazing. I cannot say enough about how amazing they were.

From the first scheduling call, I was so impressed with Glen Eagle Pediatric dentistry. Pam was so helpful, polite and worked with my schedule to get me in when I needed. Dr. Marc was unbelievably sweet and respectful with my 1 year old.

He took the time to explain everything to me but spoke directly to my son and took him through all the dental tools he was going to use. I am so thankful we found Glen Eagle as soon as we did. The facility was beautiful but the staff truly sets them apart. 100% recommended them to anyone looking for a dentist for their little one!

Absolutely the best experience for my little guy who needed some extra special attention! The most amazing staff who are patient and kind with every step of care. Dr. Marc is extremely knowledgeable and started us on a course not just to fixing our dental concerns but to a holistic approach to wellness in all areas that impact oral health! THANK YOU team Glen Eagle Pediatric dentistry!

Surprised to see so many positive reviews. I will say the dentist was nice and thorough with the kids but the front desk staff is impossible to deal with. My daughter had a follow-up appointment scheduled for an X-Ray. I called on the day of the appointment to see if we could arrive early, they had NO appointment at all on their books, even though I watched them schedule it a month or two prior. So, instead of helping me, she proceeds to offer me an appointment 3 months out, even though they are the ones who lost/forgot/deleted my daughter's appointment.

B/c of these issues I said I was leaving the practice and to email me the records. They have ZERO records to send b/c my kids were not old enough to get x-rays, so basically it is like my children have not had dental care whatsoever. The woman at the front desk was rude, dismissive, and did not provide any solutions to resolve any of these issues. I would NOT recommend this practice due to the staff not the dentist.
