Glendale Area Medical Association

The Glendale Area Medical Association (GAMA) is a well-established non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located at 850 Main Street, Coalport, PA 16627. Founded in 1979 under Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act, GAMA's mission is to deliver comprehensive primary medical and dental healthcare services to residents across a 500-square-mile rural area encompassing northern Cambria and southern Clearfield counties. This region was designated as "underserved," allowing GAMA to receive federal grant support to provide care for low-income and underinsured patients. GAMA began its operations in the former Coalport Grade School building and later combined its medical and dental services, which were also housed in the former Reade Township High School building in Mountaindale. In 1998, GAMA moved to its current, centralized location in Coalport. The clinic currently operates with approximately 25 staff members and serves around 13,000 patients annually across its medical and dental practices. The team at GAMA includes experienced medical professionals such as Dr. Jay Robinson (MD), Dr. Sohail Shariff (MD), and Physician Assistants Staci Kephart, Lindsey Link, and Jordan Humes. For dental care, Dr. Anthony Kibelbek (DMD) leads the dental staff. GAMA is committed to being a partner in their patients' healthcare decisions, emphasizing attentive and down-to-earth care. They offer a sliding fee scale for services, based on individual ability to pay, in accordance with rates established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), ensuring healthcare accessibility regardless of financial status. The clinic's office hours for medical services are Monday (7:00 AM – 6:00 PM), Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM), and Friday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM). Dental services are available Monday (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM), Tuesday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM), Wednesday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), Thursday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), and Friday (8:00 AM – 12:30 PM). GAMA is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of community health Centers and the HRSA National Health Service Corps.
