We really appreciated the care provided to our children, which is why I have more than one star, despite having been chastised for late “cancellations” when they had sent text confirmations to someone other than me. It took them a while to figure it out, but they finally were able to fix this. They also stated that they sent a “warning notice”, and a) I never received it, and b) it would have been for the system glitch that resulted in not receiving text info about our appointment (which is relevant because it was relied upon as the receptionist offered to text it vs providing an appointment card). The other day, due to icy roads when all schools were cancelled, we cancelled late, as well. To be honest, I don’t even know what the policy for cancellation is off the top of my head, but I assume it is 24 hrs.

I accepted the next available appointment which was less than 24 hrs away. The next day, when I went to take my child, we had an unexpected issue with our vehicle and I notified them immediately upon realizing I wouldn’t be able to make it on time. Again - the appointment was set less than 24 hrs prior. The response I received was “we’re dismissing you from the practice due to repeat violations of our attendance policy. ” This was despite having told me they wouldn’t hold the “violations” from when they were texting someone else our appointment details against us.

When I asked them to reconsider, they doubled down. So, while the office is beautiful and the dental hygienists seem great, they’re too rigid on their policies and don’t seem to genuinely care or consider their own system glitches when holding their clients to such strict policies. Nor do they care if you have already stressful extenuating circumstance that prevented you from attending an appointment you genuinely wanted your child to attend 🤯🤯🤯

We’ve had only great experiences at GBPD! My daughter looks forward to her visits (outside of fillings but really who likes those?) The staff are great at making her feel comfortable and are reasonable with expectations. The only downside is because they are so busy, it’s hard to get non-routine visits scheduled quickly. Obviously if there is an emergency or pain they move quickly.

It's been a bit of a struggle to find a dentist for my son. Greyson had a cleaning and x-rays done this past week at his first appointment with Grand Blanc Pediatric Dentistry. His dad and I were so nervous about him going back alone for so long. The staff came out to the lobby halfway through the appointment to let us know that he was doing great! I highly recommend taking your children here as the staff are very kind and understanding when it comes to kids being scared, and parents as well.

They made Greyson feel so much better about going to the dentist. The prize at the end probably helped a little too. We are very happy with our experience.

Dr. Kate and her staff are always wonderful. Great communication. Has always made my son feel comfortable even without going in the back with him. I love that my son is growing up looking forward to going to the dentist and never scared. He looks forward to the toy machines after his visit the most! They are also easy to get into got emergency situations when they happen.
