The hygienists here are great, but Dr. Clement is very aggressive. Pre-cavities are cavities, pushing for crowns, fillings, etc. before they are necessary. Some people may like the really aggressive approach, but as long as it doesn't hurt or have broken through the enamel, I'm more of a wait-and-see kinda guy.

The hygienist and admin staff are great but Dr Clement isn’t very friendly, a bit rude, and very aggressive about care. Decided to stop care with the practice even though the staff was great. I don’t need an unpleasant experience when going to the dentist.

Wouldn't recommend this dental office to anyone that is looking to become a new patient! Tried to get ahold of this office when they first opened, and got transferred to Great Lakes Bay doctor's office, who told me that the dental practice was having issues with their phone lines. Kept trying to call, and when I finally got someone on the phone, they told me that they couldn't make an appointment because they had filled up with new patients during the time their phone lines were supposed to be down! When i tried to explain to the receptionist that their phone lines were down, I got told that it didn't matter and that they were filled, but would be willing to put me on a 'cancelation list'.

They were willing to see me for a walk in, but it would only be for one specific tooth, and would not be able to see me for anything they offer established patients! Terrible receptionist staff, and even worse excuses for not being able to accept new patients!

Simply put, this office is incredibly unprofessional. My ex husband is a family friend of Dr Dan and chose to do place my son in the care of Dan to prevent me from accessing his dental information. I provided the court order to the office multiple times showing I had 50/50 legal and physical custody but the office refused to speak to me or provide me information regarding his care. I ended up subpoenaing the office manager. She said that they had an office policy that if someone was disputing custody from another parent they wouldn’t provide that parent with the child’s dental information.

The judge asked them how they would enforce this policy other than with my particular case. The manager was dumbfounded and was unable to provide any other response than “I didn’t make the policy”. Despite me involving Dr Dan in a court case, he still chose to treat my son after I expressed concern regarding his care. When I asked to speak the dentist regarding a treatment plan that seemed unnecessary and aggressive. He ignored me and hid in his office.

When my son had a difficult time in the back, the office manager pushed my son out of the office when he acted up. To say the least I am shocked and appalled by the utter lack of professional boundaries between Clement’s personal life and professional. And the handling of my child’s dental care has caused severe anxiety for my son. There are better dentists out there — Clement is not among them.
