Detailed Introduction

Great River Endodontics is a dedicated endodontic practice with a mission to provide exceptional specialized dental care. With multiple locations, including St. Michael, St. Cloud, Monticello, and Willmar, Minnesota, they serve a broad patient base. The clinic specializes exclusively in endodontic procedures, which involve treating the interior of the tooth, primarily focusing on root canals. The team at Great River Endodontics comprises highly skilled and experienced endodontists, including Dr. Karn, Dr. Lund, Dr. Saylor, Dr. Papworth, Dr. Penaz, Dr. Schuweiler, and Dr. Mieczkowski. These specialists are licensed dentists in Minnesota who have completed at least two additional years of accredited training specifically in endodontics. Many, like Dr. Lund and Dr. Schuweiler, are board-certified endodontists, signifying a high level of expertise and commitment to the field. Great River Endodontics offers a comprehensive range of endodontic services designed to save natural teeth. These include: Root Canals: The most common procedure, which removes infected or inflamed pulp to alleviate pain and prevent further infection. Endodontic Retreatment: Addressing teeth that have undergone a root canal but have developed new problems. GentleWave® Procedure: An innovative, minimally invasive technology that uses a powerful combination of fluids and energy to thoroughly clean the complex anatomy of the root canal system, often allowing for treatment in a single session and preserving more natural tooth structure. Apicoectomy: A surgical procedure to remove the tip of the root and surrounding infected tissue when traditional root canal treatment isn't sufficient. Cracked Teeth: Diagnosis and treatment of fractured teeth to save them from extraction. Traumatic Injuries: Management of dental injuries affecting the pulp. The clinic prides itself on utilizing state-of-the-art technology to ensure the highest standard of care. This includes: GentleWave® Procedure: As mentioned, for advanced cleaning and disinfection. Digital Radiography: Offering reduced radiation exposure and immediate image processing for efficient diagnosis. Operating Microscopes: Providing enhanced visualization and illumination, crucial for identifying minute details, calcified canals, and cracks, leading to more precise and conservative treatments. Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT): A 3D imaging system that offers a more comprehensive view of the tooth and surrounding structures compared to traditional 2D X-rays, aiding in complex diagnoses and treatment planning. Ultrasonic Technology: Used in conjunction with microscopes to remove calcifications and blockages within the root canals and for precise cleaning during surgical procedures. Patient comfort and satisfaction are paramount at Great River Endodontics. They strive to create a friendly and comfortable environment, understanding that many patients experience dental anxiety. The staff is noted for their compassion, clear communication, and efforts to alleviate fear. Patient testimonials consistently highlight positive experiences, often mentioning the pain-free nature of procedures, the professionalism and kindness of the staff, and the thorough explanations provided by the doctors. They offer flexible scheduling, significant availability, and various payment options, including working with a variety of insurance plans and offering dental financing. Their philosophy emphasizes saving natural teeth whenever possible, recognizing the long-term benefits of preserving one's natural dentition over extractions and prosthetic replacements.

If I can put half star or none I would. Bad service, charge customer first for full service before send it to insurance, refuse to send the xray to other clinic when customer needed. Please think twice before you want to make an appointment here.

Unbelievable! I was in so much pain and needed a root canal, my dentist called all over, it was 3:00 pm and Great River Ortho said to come right over they would squeeze me in! They were so patient with me and Dr. Saylor took his time even though it was getting late, I think it was after hours by the time they got done! Went back today to finish the root canal, they made sure I was comfortable and I feel like they take their time and do a great job.

All the workers were so nice and really cared! Highly recommend!

Exam was fine, the fact I waited 45 minutes for my appointment is the problem. When I asked the woman at the front desk if they always ran late, she looked at me and said, yes 45 to 60 minutes! Sorry my time is valuable too!

If you have Cigna insurance through your employer don't waste your time even calling this place. They expect to bill your insurance 500 dollars to even talk about a root canal. Due to my insurance I would have to prepay and the consultation they wanted to schedule was after already being referred by a general dentist who inspected the area and took xrays.

The 500 would not include any actual treatment of the tooth.
