Just to preface, I am a dentist so I am pretty particular about who our kids go to for their care and know the “tricks” of the trade. We always have a wonderful experience with Dr. Suzy and her team. My 7 year old son had his first filling ever and was extremely anxious but the team at Grins went above and beyond to make sure he felt as safe and calm as possible.

They have all the tools needed from TV’s mounted to the ceiling, to “laughing gas,” to the most important thing which is patience and professionalism. Also, she uses an Isolite, which is a tool that keeps saliva away from the working site during filling procedures to ensure that fillings are done that will last. If you don’t do a job well the first time, you are going to do it twice, as they say. Also, I know that they prioritize prevention and are not a dental office seeking to drill every tiny cavity they see but truly want to partner with the parents and kids to focus on preventing them and even remineralizing them if possible.

The new office at Highland Park is pristine and staff is wonderful. Highly, highly recommend them!

We had our second of two filling appointments today for my daughter and both experiences were wonderful. Dr. Risa Hurwich and the nursing and clerical staff at both locations were incredible. Such a sense of calming and gentle process for our daughter, who is 4.

5. They made two such usually tricky seeming procedures when filling in between the back molars, so smooth and fun as possible for her. Our daughter was calm for both and even when she hesitating or started to cry and feel worried, Risa and staff are so comforting and help to distract the children with fun conversations and try their best to get the child’s mind off of what is happening. Also let Dad and me come right there alongside our daughter to hold her hands and comfort.

They are true miracle workers, such a wonderful and natural way with kids and make going to the dentist for fillings WAY less worrisome, scary and traumatic for a kid. True connections with the kids and also help her to choose a fun movie to watch as another great distraction. Super personable and make everyone feel so at ease. I HIGHLY recommend Grins, both the Kenilworth and Highland Park Locations! Also worked with us to try and schedule timing over our winter break schedule! 10/10 and wouldn’t go any other way!

We brought my 19-month old daughter to see Dr. Hurwich and I cannot speak highly enough about our experience. The appointment started at it's actual time, the staff was very courteous and the space immaculate. Dr. Hurwich put my daughter at ease and we look forward to returning for all future dental appointments.
