I will first say the dental assistant was amazing she would get 5 stars she was compassionate & knowledgeable. The new dentist Dr Ismail, we saw in the practice we are giving a 1 star. My 19 year old daughter saw a new dentist in the practice & has some fillings done today. She was told the appointment it would take 90 minutes & it took over 2 hours & made her later to work not because her case was complicated because he kept leaving & coming back saying how busy he was. When he asked for a piece of equipment & was told they didn’t have it, he said he would have to do with what they had (not a confidence builder).

Once home when my daughter’s face still had the effects of the Novocain 6 hours later. We called made an appt to come back. He saw us 7 hours after her original appointment & he said we didn’t need to come in, that it was Bell’s palsy. When I questioned that, he said well it’s not Bell’s Palsy exactly it is facial palsy from the anesthetic & was rude & dismissive. It’s one thing if his is new & doesn’t totally know what he is doing & it takes longer.

If he explained things & showed concern or compassion that would have help. My daughter was freaked out, it was a scary situation & then lying about what the cause of the facial palsy was & showing no concern a 19 year old couldn’t move her face 7 hours after a procedure is unacceptable. We cancelled her future appointments with him & I am going to have her see a dentist I love in the downers grove, grove dental office.

I was told I was able to get a tooth extracted due to extreme pain, and when I got there, that wasn't the case. The Dentist there didn't care that I'm in extreme pain and was only caring about making a sale. So after spending 200. 00 for the visit I only got a prescription for Tylenol 3 which doesn't work.

I'm out 200. 00 and still in extreme pain. Do yourself a favor, find a caring dentist elsewhere! They only want money and don't care about the welfare of their new patients!

Been going to Grove Dental for the past 15-16 years.

A great facility to get extensive dental work done with caring doctors and staff! I’ve had plenty of dental work done here and have never been disappointed …even getting your teeth cleaned is a pleasurable experience! Staff are always nice and friendly as well as the hygienists (Michelle is awesome! :), and waiting area is also nice and clean! I highly recommend getting your dental needs taken care of at Grove Dental…they are the best!! 🤗

If I could give a negative 5 I would. Always upselling or trying to get you to pay more. Daughter was told she needed her wisdom teeth pulled and two other dentists said no they are fine. Went in for scheduled crowns and they wanted to sell extra services. Scam business. If you are fine with always getting upsold and not necessary services, this is your dentist.
