I came here after going to a horrible dentist for years. I only had state insurance so there were limited dentists in the area. My previous dentist was very rude, unprofessional, and unpleasant. After going to Dr. Harkins I got to see how a dentist who is in it for the people, not the money gets to practice. Immediately I was greeted with a smile. He was very friendly and thoughtful. He cracked a few jokes to ease the situation after hearing I had an awful experience with my previous dentist.

He was very polite, caring, thorough, and answered any and all questions. You can see that he chose this profession to truly help people. Not just for the money. All the people at the desk and all the assistants were extremely polite and welcoming. I HIGHLY suggest going to Dr. Harkins if you are looking for a new dentist. Especially if you’re skeptical about going to the dentist. He will make it very easy and relaxing!

Amazing people and service! My entire family goes to Dr. Harkins and we love every staff member there. From the receptionists to hygienists to doctors, everyone greets you with a smile and is so friendly and welcoming. My kids are actually excited to go to the dentist and are never nervous - even after having to have some baby teeth pulled.

Jen, Carol and Ashley are fantastic and do fabulous cleanings! Dr. Harkins is funny, personable and professional. I highly recommend this dental office!

I cracked a tooth at age 17 and after the filling was place I had severe pain, the pain made brushing horrible. Over the years I went to other dentists 3 actually and none saw a reason to fix this filling. Not only was it cracked and miscolored it caused me severe pain. I was so ashamed of my teeth and my smile I avoided photos or smiling in photos. A lot of other dentists rolled their eyes when I expressed my anxiety at cleanings and overall dentist appointments. Finally I tried here.

Not only was the staff kind and considerate Dr. Harkin took the time to talk to me until I was calm he listed to my concerns. My teeth took multiple appointments that lasted hours to fix Not once was he rushed. He took his time, he gave me breaks and let me take time when I needed to calm down. He made me laugh and enjoy my visits. My teeth are pain free and look amazing now and I look forward to cleanings.

People told me they were just teeth for years but they were more than that to me and Dr. Harkin understood. He gave me a smile back and I can take photos with my son without being ashamed of my teeth. 10 out of 10 would recommend going here if you have anxiety or mental issue with dentists and dental work.

I called to see if they took the insurance through my employer. The receptionist answered my question with a question, asking if I was a current patient. I replied that I wasn’t, I was just trying to make sure if the information I was seeing was up to date (I was searching for an in-network provider via my insurance’s portal).

Then she flatly said “we’re not taking any new patients” and didn’t really say goodbye, just hung up on me. 😬
