i used to go to Harmony as a kid and recently found out that my dental plan assigned me to them so i came back after years. it used to be really nice. so i went in for a new patient appt with Dr. Modjadidi. He’s okay. I am sure he’s really good at what he does, but i find his bedside manner is lacking. I was surprised how rushed he was. I have been to a handful of dentists before and I never had a face to face interaction so quick. At first i thought “okay, that’s normal. All he had to see was that i had a cavity and it needs a filling anyways”. But i was literally sent on my way in a matter of 5 seconds.

He maybe asked how I was doing but that was it. I honestly wasn’t too mad about this. Then fast forward to my filling appointment. This interaction had me disappointed overall. The lady who brought me back was really nice, however as soon as he came in, i got a quick “hi how are you”, verified i was here for a filling, he initiated me to open my mouth and quickly stuck the numbing medicine in. I have anxiety that is especially heightened at the dentist, so this did not make me feel comfortable at all. I’m not good with needles going into my gums so a little warning for preparation would’ve been appreciated. He was very fast in putting in the filling, which again- I’m sure he knows what he’s doing but his handling is very rough. Dental work is never super comfortable anyways but I don’t remember other dentists i’ve been to being like that. Almost seemed like he was rushing through it all and it was just unpleasant. Especially after the numbing process left me in an anxious state.

He was yanking on whatever tool was in my mouth, applying really heavy pressure when he was drilling, and just squirting the water everywhere. Afterwards, he just said we’re done and to let them know if it’s still painful and giving me issues. No patient education on if i should expect some soreness afterwards, what meds to take, etc etc. Really just mumbled that we were finished. I don’t usually write reviews especially negative ones bc i get it. I work in healthcare too. But from one healthcare worker to another i hope he finds my perspective refreshing and takes it into account. i know it can be draining working with many patients a day and having to meet productivity standards, however, i do think it’s important to still take a step back and be a little more compassionate. An everyday procedure for a dentist can be a big anxiety trigger for many people. Unfortunately these first couple of visits did not build a good rapport so far and i may possibly look into switching dentists. TLDR: dentist was rushed, minimal bedside manner, anxiety inducing

This is the 1st time I have ever gave a 1 star, but this place is terrible. They employ a totally unprofessional dental office personal who lies. If They tell you, your insurance is paying a certain amount, please check with your insurance company directly. 4 times out of 5 visits , they tried to over charge my copay. Run Away Quick!

The dentists and staff here are top notch. They actually got me to take really good care of my teeth. I don't know what the people with negative reviews are talking about - the polar opposite from my experience. I guess happy customers usually don't bother to write reviews.
