Spent over and hour waiting to be seen. The hygienists or whoever she was came out into the waiting room and clearly asked, "why didn't you remind me you were waiting?" Then found out after she asked me a few more probing questions, while standing in the waiting area, that my insurance wouldn't cover the visit. Staff is clearly unprofessional and poorly trained.

I do not recommend this office to anyone seeking treatment.

My appointment was scheduled for 12:30pm. I arrived at 12:04pm. At 1:00pm, a secretary called me to the desk and informed me that they only had one hygienist in the office. (not my problem) Now she tells me! After sitting in the waiting room watching painting and sewing shows on an outdated TV.

Dr. Shapiro is very skilled and professional, but his office would be much more efficient with a better staff. Because without patients, there is no practice.

If it was possible to give a review with 0 stars, I would. This place was recommended by both coworkers and friends who have had decent experiences here. I called and inquired about new patient appointments and walk-in availability and was told there were "holes in the schedule" so it would be okay to walk in around 11am. I went in and the first thing I was greeted with was a rude receptionist who almost turned me away immediately because of her poor attitude. I sat for a total of over 2 hours before being told that I had to schedule an appointment because the hygienist couldn't work me in.

When I asked about appointment availability, I was told that I'd have to wait over a month to be seen as a new patient or I can feel free to walk-in another day. I think not as I do not have another 2 hours of my time to waste. I will not be returning to this establishment period nor will I suggest this place to anyone who is looking for a new dentist.
