Dr. Kowal (not that he deserves to be called Dr. because he’s the worst dentist in Michigan. First of all he screamed at me for missing my appointment after I explained a family member died suddenly . Even his staff member told me he was out of line. Another one of his staff members that she’s the billing was very unprofessional on the phone telling me if you can’t afford to make payments I shouldn’t get treatment.

Well I was able to afford it and paid her once she was done insulting me. I didn’t know I owed it . It was only 40 dollars and I didn’t get a bill mailed to me. I saved the best for last. He accidentally ruined the Enamle on my tooth. He did a hack job and what I mean by that is he worked on the wrong tooth that wasn’t infected and ruined the enamel on it after prior to that appointment the tooth had no issues.

I have another dentist who has agreed and will be testifying in court. My point of writing this is to save other people from going to him. He has no business being a dentist I’m not trying to just ruin someone career for no reason . He needs to stop practicing.

I lost bone tissue due to poor follow-up by this dentist regarding a gum infection. I always went for my biannual dental cleanings. I made an appointment because I noticed one of my crowns was bothering me. I was told crown 18 was broken after they took an X-ray. They didn't show much interest, such as conducting cold or air tests, or checking for a gum infection. I was informed that this crown wasn't made in that office and to consult the dentist who made it. I visited the original dentist who made the dental crown, and he provided a completely different diagnosis.

The diagnosis was that I had an 8mm infection in that dental piece and it needed to be replaced with a new one. (Just the previous week, I had a cleaning with Dr. Hibblen, and she never mentioned any of this. ) This dentist, despite not being my current one, took the initiative to conduct various tests and X-rays to give a professional and accurate diagnosis. I went back to Dr. Hibblen to have her explain the vastly different diagnoses, as she was the one overseeing my oral health. She responded defensively and unprofessionally.

She actually suggested I go to the other dentist instead of acknowledging her negligence and apologizing for the incorrect diagnosis. Due to this office's negligence over many years, I lost my bone tissue as they never did their job properly. The oral health of my entire family was under their responsibility. Be cautious, and I hope this helps someone to avoid a similar situation.
