Detailed Introduction

Holladay Dental Studio is a well-established and comprehensive dental practice situated in Holladay, Utah. Under the leadership of Dr. Andrew Ericksen, the studio prides itself on providing a wide array of dental services designed to meet the needs of the entire family. Dr. Andrew Ericksen, a Holladay native, graduated from the University of Utah before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University in 2011. He took over Holladay Dental Studio in 2012 and has since demonstrated a strong commitment to continuous education and staying at the forefront of dental advancements. Notably, Dr. Ericksen is an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, a prestigious certification that highlights his expertise in dental implant procedures, including placement and restoration, sinus lifts, and bone grafting. Holladay Dental Studio offers a broad spectrum of services, encompassing general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, and specialized treatments. Key services include: General & Family Dentistry: They cater to patients of all ages, from young children (around 3 years old for initial cleanings, and 7-8 for more comprehensive observation) to older adults, aiming to be a one-stop solution for family dental care. This includes routine check-ups, cleanings, and preventative treatments like sealants and fluoride. Same-Day Crowns: Utilizing advanced CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) technology, Holladay Dental Studio can design, fabricate, and place high-quality ceramic crowns in a single visit, eliminating the need for temporary crowns and multiple appointments. This is a significant convenience for patients with chipped, cracked, or weakened teeth. Dental Implants: Dr. Ericksen's specialized training allows the studio to offer comprehensive dental implant solutions, which are permanent replacements for missing teeth. They provide various types of implants, including single-tooth implants, implant-supported bridges, All-on-4, All-on-6, and mini implants, aiming to restore chewing ability, improve oral health, and enhance patient confidence. Orthodontics: The practice offers orthodontic treatments, including Invisalign clear aligners, providing a discreet and comfortable alternative to traditional braces for straightening teeth. TMJ Treatment / Teeth Grinding: Recognizing the discomfort associated with temporomandibular joint dysfunction, Holladay Dental Studio provides treatments for jaw, neck, and back pain, as well as headaches related to TMJ syndrome. Relieving Dental Anxiety: The team understands that dental anxiety is common and works to create a comfortable and welcoming environment to alleviate patient fears. Dentures: For patients missing one or more teeth, they offer various types of dentures to restore function and aesthetics. The studio emphasizes patient comfort, convenience, and quality, integrating modern technology with personalized care. Their commitment extends to community involvement, including partnerships with local law enforcement for initiatives like an annual stuffed animal drive. While generally well-regarded for their dental services and the expertise of Dr. Ericksen, some employee reviews on Glassdoor indicate concerns regarding management practices and work-life balance within the organization. However, patient testimonials generally praise the friendly staff, professional care, and efficiency of the treatments provided.

My first visit to this office back in 2023 was actually great. The dentist was amazing — professional, gentle, and took good care of me, which is the only reason I decided to come back. Unfortunately, I wish I hadn’t. This recent visit was one of the worst dental experiences I’ve ever had, and it was entirely because of the assistant — I believe her name was Hannah. From the moment she started working on my teeth, it felt wrong. She had the heaviest, most aggressive hands I’ve ever experienced in a cleaning. I told her multiple times that my teeth are sensitive, and she even acknowledged that I didn’t have much buildup — so why was she going at my mouth like she was chiseling cement off a sidewalk? The way she scraped and jabbed at my gums was completely unnecessary and painful.

I left that appointment with my gums bleeding badly — not just a little bit of irritation, but full-on bleeding that continued hours after I got home. My entire mouth was sore and tender to the point that even eating or drinking water hurt. And to make things worse, she filed down one of my bottom teeth so much that it actually looks different now. No explanation, no warning — just over-filed and changed without consent. That is completely unacceptable. I’ve had my share of dental work in the past, even during times when I had more plaque than this, and I’ve never had an experience this brutal. I’m honestly shocked at how rough and careless she was, especially after saying there wasn’t even much to clean in the first place.

It makes no sense and just shows a complete lack of skill or concern for the patient. Again, I want to emphasize that the dentist was great. This review isn’t about them — it’s about the assistant, who made me feel like I was being treated by someone who had no idea how to handle patients with sensitivity or basic care. If you care about your comfort, your teeth, or not leaving the office in worse shape than you came in, I’d seriously ask to avoid this assistant or reconsider going somewhere else.

I have never been to a dentist where people are so lovely. When I say lovely. I mean, just the way they treat you. They invite you to come in to their studio and make you feel at home there. There is no pressure, there's no stress. It's all about what the patient needs. The holiday dental studio. I recommend to anybody. Her smile It's worth so much it's amazing

It's been so many years since I have been back to the dentist because of what I have been through previously. Major anxiety! But have been looking and for some reason kept going back to them. From the first person I talked to on the phone, she was so nice and very personable. Went in today everyone was so nice and the atmosphere didn't feel like a dentist's office. Very clean and a very nice feeling, the dentist's assistant ugh can't remember his name.

He was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable and told me he was going to school to be a dentist as well. He will be a great dentist! Dentist C Goodell was so calming and I felt cared I was 100% happy. And I am excited to finally find a dental office and get some much-needed work done. Thank you for a great experience. 😊
